Number 8 Dairy Road, which is pending at $6.750 million. Owner paid $8.2 million for it in 2010, and put some real money into it fixing Mariani's grossest mistakes.
Mariani purchased the place when it was known as 10 Dairy Road, but that was the site of real estate/fraudster Andrew Kissel's bloody murder, which would probably have deterred buyers. Kissel was killed April 3, 2006. Mariani purchased the place on January 31, 2007, convinced the Post Office to change the address to number 8, razed the Kimmel death house and built anew, all within 8 months, when he listed his new creation in September that year for $10.750 million. I visited it then, and noticed that the oak flooring he'd laid, raw and untamed, had already warped, so that closet doors wouldn't close; the rest of the house reflected that same speed building.
Eventually, a buyer came along: this owner, who presumably was swayed by the perceived discount from the original price, and paid that $8.2, which, again, shows that Mariani's smarter than some buyers, and their agents.
