I assume that a flood of offers prompted this price increase, though I’m not sure I’d have responded the same way

The owners of 35 Park Avenue, Old Greenwich, listed it 30 days ago for $3.950 million, and today they raised that price to $5 million. I suppose this could work, at the risk of angering previous bidders, but I’d have tried a different approach. And what happens when potential buyers discover that the promised “back yard gate to Sound Shore Rd” leads nowhere? No such street exists.
