Democracy Dimwit: DSA Co-Chair Cannot Explain What ‘Taxing the Hell Out of Millionaires’ Means

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) members are making inroads into the Democrat Party on their message of taxing billionaires and even millionaires. But there’s a difference between a message and a genuine plan. David Remnick of The New Yorker asked DSA Co-Chair Megan Romer to lay out what ‘taxing the Hell out of millionaires’ means and looks like as policy. You can tell these DSA fools rarely get challenged to explain themselves. She had no answer.

DSA Co-Chair Megan Romer says, "We believe in taxing the hell out of millionaires."

She then struggles to explain what that actually means.

Remnick: "What does 'taxing the hell out of them' mean?"

Romer: "Yeah. You know, again, I don't have, like, a solid…"

Remnick: "But shouldn't you?"

Romer: "Ummmmm, that's a good question."

Remnick: "If you're the co-chair of the DSA, shouldn't you be more specific than just taxing the hell out of something? What exactly do you mean?"

Romer: "So again, it's democracy, right?…

"This is the Democrat party 'Big Tent.'

In fact, she does explain it, beginning at 33 seconds in on this video: They mean to “tax the hell out of millionaires until there are no millionaires left: “We don’t want to depend on the existence of millionaires, because that means people are still being exploited”. So, tax until everyone’s “wealth” is below a million dollars — problem, solution. Done.

“Wealth”, to the DSA and its supporters, Democrats like Chris Murphy, Elizabeth Warren and their slimey like, is to be calculated on total assets, which many homeowners in America won’t appreciate when they’re taxed from their houses and shoved into government housing. But hey, scrambled eggs and omelettes and all that.
