The final days of the end of the American Experiment have arrived sooner than even I had expected

Democrats to introduce bill tomorrow to add four additional Democrat justices to the Supreme Court

Left-leaning or right, depending on the times, the Court has always been viewed by most of the country as the third branch of government, an apolitical reviewer and brake on the excesses of the legislative and executive branches, all as designed by the founders. This will destroy its credibility forever, but now that we have two generations who’ve been taught to deride and disdain the principles our country was founded on, it will probably pass unnoticed. Until it’s too late.

I sense a civil war slouching near.

Circling Back: I’ll wait until tomorrow to see if this report is true before I go full vent, but the lawyer in me is horrified at the prospect that we’re about to abandon the rule of law; if true, we’re right there with Putin’s subjects, who can have their liberty, property and lives destroyed at the whim of the ruler. We may still be permitted to celebrate the 4th of July, but that will men only that we’ll be allowed to doff our face masks for a few minutes, and maybe salute the new flag and our new masters

The NYT wants to defund the police — except the one in its lobby

NYPost: Last year, The New York Times ran an opinion piece titled “Yes, We Mean Literally Abolish The Police,” as well an editorial claiming “. . . too often in recent months, instead of a balm, the Police Department has become another source of trauma.”

These were an ugly par for the course regarding the Gray Lady’s regular mistreatment of New York’s Finest.

So why is a member of the NYPD patrolling the lobby of the Times’ office building? Isn’t the editorial board worried about this cop inflicting trauma on its workforce?

Scratch an advocate who favors defunding the police and you usually find someone with private armed security. In this case, a company such as The Times writes a check to the NYPD, which pays the officer, minus an administrative fee, to provide protection in full police regalia.

Coming our way, soon – though we’ll have more transgenders amongst our own twirkers

The once-mighty Aussies slip beneath the waters

The new, $2 billion ship is a combat supply ship and intended, one might suppose, to sail into danger. The Navy has other plans:

A defence spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia the dance was arranged to engage with the local community … 'HMAS Supply and the Royal Australian Navy are committed to working with Australians from all backgrounds in actively supporting local charities and community groups,' they said.

That’s not mission creep, it’s mission abandonment

And we let this junkie gun felon retire on a fat pension?

GPD Sergent pleads guilty to swapping guns for heroin

Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that JOSEPH RYAN, 57, of Trumbull, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty today before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer in New Haven to a federal firearm charge related to his unlawful possession and transfer of five firearms on behalf of his drug dealer.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on April 27, 2018, Ansonia Police executed a state search warrant at an address in Ansonia in order to locate and seize 12 firearms that were registered to a pistol permit holder at the residence.  Investigators could only locate five firearms during the search.  The five firearms were then transported to the Ansonia Police Department for safekeeping.  On April 3, 2019, Ryan, who at the time was a police officer with the Greenwich Police Department, went to the Ansonia Police Department and took custody of the five firearms that had been seized.

In August and September 2019, members of ATF and the New Haven Police Department made controlled purchases of four firearms from Malique Martin.  Three of the four firearms purchased were among the firearms that Ryan took into his custody from the Ansonia Police Department on April 3, 2019.  The investigation revealed that Ryan, who was addicted to heroin transferred firearms to an individual who was a convicted felon, and who helped facilitate heroin transactions between Ryan and a heroin supplier.  Some of the firearms were then transferred to Martin.

Ryan was arrested on a federal criminal complaint on February 21, 2020.

Ryan pleaded guilty to one count of possession of firearms by an unlawful user of a controlled substance, an offense that carries a maximum term of imprisonment of 10 years.  Judge Meyer scheduled sentencing for July 6, 2021.

He retired, full benefits, in August, 2019.

Sgt. Joseph Ryan retired on Wednesday after serving the Town of Greenwich for the past 33 years.

Ryan was hired in 1986 after he graduated from Iona College with a degree in criminal justice. He attended basic training at the Connecticut Police Academy and upon graduation was assigned to the patrol division.

During his career, Ryan received numerous awards and recognitions including awards for life saving and an Excellent Police Duty Medal. Ryan worked many years as the midnight shift supervisor where he mentored countless officers. He said that best part of being a police officer was helping people along the way.

Ryan plans on remaining a part of the Department as a Special Police Officer where he can continue to pass along his experience and expertise to the next generation of police.

So how long did our cops tolerate a junkie in their midst, and who was responsible for letting him retire at full pension while the feds were knocking on his door? Can we deduct his pension costs from Chief Heavey’s salary?

Because we’d been talking the other day, and she expressed dismay about how hyped the doom and gloom about COVID is. I saw that as an opening, and encouraging, because if she, and her peers, become aware of the bullshit they’ve been fed by their teachers and the media all their lives, they might get angry, or at least distrustful of the establishment, as all of us hippies were back in the day. Distrust is the first step towards skepticism, questioning, and independent thinking.

Anyway, here’s the link: CNN and the COVID death watch.

CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester explains the logic behind his network’s COVID-19 death toll counter in a sting video Project Veritas released on Wednesday. CNN has capitalized on “panic porn” during the pandemic, promoting fear in a way that Chester said bumps up ratings.

“COVID? Gangbusters with ratings, right? Which is why we [CNN] constantly have the [COVID-19] death toll on the side, which I have a major problem with – with how we’re tallying how many people die every day,” Chester says in the video.

He explains a perverse incentive regarding the numbers. “Like, why isn’t it high enough, you know, today? Like, it would make our point better if it was higher. And I’m like, what am I f***ing rallying for? That’s a problem that we’re doing that.”

The director explains that CNN is capitalizing on fear. “It’s fear. Fear really drives numbers [when it comes to TV ratings] … Fear is the thing that keeps you tuned in.”

Chester says that he has gotten CNN to take the death toll counter down, but then the “bat phone” rang and CNN President Jeff Zucker demanded the network restore the death toll.

“The special red phone rings and this producer picks it up. You hear [murmurs], and every so often they put it on speaker and it’s the head of the network being like, ‘There’s nothing that you’re doing right now that makes me want to stick. Put the [COVID death toll] numbers back up, because that’s the most enticing thing that we had. So, put it back up.'”

Chester also confesses that CNN drives the narrative, asking leading questions in order to get people to say what the network wants them to say.

“Any reporter on CNN — what they’re actually doing is they’re telling the person what to say… It’s always like leading them in a direction before they even open their mouths,” he says. “The only people that we [CNN] will let on the air, for the most part, are people that have a proven track record of taking the bait.”

Chester also confesses that his network focuses on “doom and gloom.”

“No one ever says those things out loud, but it’s obvious based on the amount of stories that we [CNN] do,” he says. “The fact that we have a segment called ‘The Good Stuff’, which is a feel-good thing, but it’s a dedicated moment at the end to almost be the ice cream to alleviate everything that you’ve been through. Something sweet to end it with, because everything else is doom and gloom.”

On Tuesday, Project Veritas released the first in this latest string of CNN sting videos, in which Chester admits his network ran “propaganda” in order to get Trump “voted out” of office. Chester bragged that if it hadn’t been for CNN’s biased coverage, Joe Biden would not have won the election.

But where's Walto?

Bernie Madoff has left this mortal coil. He lost everything, including one son to cancer and another to suicide, but his partner in crime, Rogues Hill own Walter Noel skated, even though his firm Greenwich Fairfield Group worked hand-in-glove with Bernie. Bernie worked the Jewish crowd, Walt bilked the gentiles, and the two of them prospered.

Walt’s Greenwich Fairfield partners didn’t do so well: one, Charles Murphy, bankrupt and despondent threw himself off the balcony of his NYC penthouse. But not the Noels: they made out like bandits.

Aren't you tired of being lectured to by know-nothing idiots? I am.

Ayanna Pressley Congresswoman and former bar worker like her fellow Squad Member AOC (except she didn’t even shake cocktails, she loaded ice machines and washed glasses) says that you’re a racist if you disagree with anything she’s for.

Who is this woman? A graduate of Chicago’s Francis W, Parker school (tuition, $29,000 -$37,000 depending on grade, located in Lincoln Park, “one of Chicago’s most affluent neighborhoods”), a BU drop-out, a person whose sole work experience in the private sector was as a receptionist and a barback and serving at banquets at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. She moved quickly into the political fold, working for various politicians at low-level administrative jobs while collecting the connections to establish her own career sucking at the public teat. Married to an ex-con drug dealer who spent ten years in the pen.

The fact that this woman is allowed to vote on national issues that affect me is apalling.
