/Kellogs introduces a cereal that combines tooth-rotting sugar with propaganda. Winner!
Kellogg’s, in a partnership with the LGBTQ+ media organization GLAAD, has released a Pride-themed cereal called Together With Pride.
Retailing for $4, Together With Pride will be on supermarket shelves in May, just prior to the month of LGBTQ+ festivities. For every purchase, Kellogg’s will donate $3 to GLAAD. For the donation to occur, patrons must upload a copy of their receipt to KelloggsFamilyRewards.com.
The 7.8-ounce box is full of a rainbow variety of heart-shaped cereal bites and even edible glitter. Kellogg’s famous cereal figures are gathered on the exterior illustration, including Toucan Sam, Tony the Tiger, and the Rice Krispies elves, Snap, Crackle, and Pop.
The caption on the box reads:
“We believe that all young people and those young at heart deserve an environment where they can grow up to be their best selves. That’s why we’ve joined forces with GLAAD by going purple on Spirit Day to stand up against bullying in all forms, and support a more accepting world for LGBTQ youth.”
British railway forbids conductors from greeting passengers in “binary terms”
A train company has told its conductors to avoid greeting passengers with the words 'ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls' after a complaint by a 'non-binary' passenger.
London North Eastern Railway said it would 'review if any further changes need to be made' - and tweeted that it would encourage staff to speak 'with no gender mentioned' to avoid offending passengers identifying as neither male nor female.
It comes after the passenger, South Western Railway train guard Laurence Coles, complained about a conductor who greeted travellers with 'ladies and gentlemen'.
LNER promised to take action after replying to the tweet by Laurence, who is also a rail union LGBT representative, that they had felt excluded by the announcement.
You might think that “ ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls”, would be inclusive of normal people, transvestites, and frolicking gay folks of all ages, and satisfy the entire spectrum of human sexuality, but you’d be wrong; the 0.00001 percent of humans who can’t make up their mind about what sex they’ve chosen that morning felt excluded. Do you ever get the feeling that there are certain whackos out there who go through life just looking to be offended? What ever happened to that grand old British expression, “Sod off, Swampy”?

Who gave the government the power to issue permanent decrees?
Question; if the vaccine protects the vaccinated, why would we. should we, care if someone next to us has chosen not to join the fun? We can’t, according to “science” get it or spread it, so let freedom ring.

Fauci: school children must continue to wear masks
Dr Anthony Fauci said Thursday children will still have to wear masks - hours after the CDC finally said fully vaccinated Americans can ditch the coverings indoors.
Asked if children needed to continue wearing masks to protect against COVID-19 Fauci said: 'The children do when they are out there playing with their friends, particularly in an indoor situation, they do.'
His recommendation comes even after a study released this week found that nearly three-quarters of infected children will never develop typical COVID symptoms like fevers or coughs. Kids are also believed to not spread the virus as easily as adults. [understatement of this entire year of madness and duplicity - ed]
Fauci did say there are studies now in an age de-escalation 'from 12 to nine, nine to six, six to two and then six months to two years so that we will be able hopefully by the end of the year to be able to vaccinate children of any age'.
There are plenty of reports and studies showing that forcing children to wear masks does little to nothing to stop the spread of COVID, and even more studies showing the irreparable harm caused by forcing them to wear them See, eg, this article from the American Institute for Economic Research, Masking Children: Tragic, Unscientific, and Damaging, replete with copious footnotes and citations
Fauci and his crowd of fools have already shown that they’ll bend and distort science to appease the teachers’ unions and keep themselves in control; this bit of torture just continues that practice. There is nothing, absolutely nothing I trust in the CDC’s advice and “guidelines”.
Vaccinate a six-year-old with an untested, unapproved experimental drug to “prevent” a disease that poses no risk to her? And keep that child suffocating on the playground or summer camp while the “experts” determine if the vaccine is actually safe, at least short-term (long term effects won’t be known for years)?
I bowed to the inevitable and took my two shots a moth ago, and I’m willing to act as a guinea pig. If my own children were under 12, however, especially if they were six-month infants, I’d be gearing up to storm the Capitol.
And for nervous parents terrorized by Fauci’s goons …

Two years ago today, John Durham was assigned to investigate the intelligence services’ attempted coup. Has anyone heard from him since?
When a poll last month revealed that 67% of Americans are unaware of the Durham probe, some internet jokesters wondered if Mr. Durham himself was among those oblivious to its existence.
As the investigation sputters toward its second anniversary on Thursday with few signs of life, conservatives are questioning what Mr. Durham has been up to for the past 24 months and if the public ever finds out, will anyone care?
Now they are puzzled as to why he has yet to interview FBI officials who held senior roles in 2016. Former FBI Director James B. Comey, Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and anti-Trumpinvestigator Peter Strzok haven’t spoken with Mr. Durham, according to people familiar with the probe.
Mr. Durham did interview former CIA Director John O. Brennan in 2020 but told him that he was not the target of any criminal inquiry. The reason for the Brennan interview remains opaque.
Robert Ray, who succeeded Kenneth Starr as independent counsel during investigations into then-President Clinton, said these types of investigations have a shelf life. The longer an investigation runs, the more obstacles emerge because witnesses’ memories fade and cooperation becomes more difficult to obtain.
“If your investigation hasn’t yielded results around the time you hit 18 months, it’s a question of diminishing returns,” Mr. Ray said. “The longer it goes on, the less you achieve. You either have it, or you don’t.”
Yet, the goalposts keep moving in the Durham probe. In the spring of 2020, Mr. Barr said he expected the investigation’s conclusions by summer. When summer came and went, it was expected that Mr. Durham would deliver results ahead of the presidential election.
The entire investigation was rendered moot when Durham failed to finish it before the election, and the loss of the Senate just piled the last few shovels of dirt on its grave.
Sad.

Teen and an 11-year-old beat 80-year-old Asian man
An 11-year-old and 17-year-old were arrested Wednesday while the younger kid was allegedly driving a vehicle that was carjacked in Oakland, according to San Leandro police.
The robbery last Saturday was caught on video, showing the victim shoved to the ground in a driveway and calling for help while the culprits can be heard giggling.
San Leandro police said they are investigating other crimes in the area the kids may have been involved in.
“We are thankful that we were able to capture these juveniles safely and expeditiously,” Lt Ali Khan said in a statement announcing the arrests.
The victim suffered only minor injuries but believed the robbery was racially motivated, ABC 7 reported.
The 11-year-old was previously arrested for several other robberies and carjackings, sources told the TV station.

How bad are things in India?
/From the western press’s coverage, the COVID pandemic looks horrible, and I imagine it is, but I’ve been following the Hindustan Times the past month or so and day after day, week after week, the “Most Read” articles aren’t about the disease. Here is today’s list of subjects readers most want to know about:
Bollywood
Cricket
TV
Cricket
Cricket.
Covid shows up sixth, under the category, Delhi News” — “COVID cases dip, daily oxygen demand down”.
I certainly know nothing about India, and the pictures in the press are horrifying: nothing good is going on there in regard to this disease, and people are clearly suffering, but I’ve been struck by this “most read” list — I haven’t seen COVID break the top-five in the month I’ve been checking. Perhaps English-speaking Indians who subscribe to the Hindustan Times are wealthier and more insulated from the ravages of Kung Flu and so have other matters of greater concern, like the travails of Bollywood stars, or, maybe, the Indian press is like ours when it comes to pandemic porn.
Just wondering.
Liz Cheney: the Cindy Sheehan for our decade
/Mitt, “Literally Hitler” Romney should have already discovered this by now, but he’s slow, and ever-hopeful
Mainstream journalists and other Democrats can't get enough of Rep. Liz Cheney (R., Wyo.), who not only shares their view of former president Donald Trump but also has given them a convenient excuse to limit their coverage of more newsworthy events—violent clashes in Israel, a stagnant economy, and gas shortages resulting from an unprecedented cyber attack—that might reflect poorly on the current president, Joe Biden.
Cheney was formally removed from her leadership position in the House Republican conference on Wednesday. CNN's frontpage headline described the event, without evidence, as "a major turning point in US political history."
The move was prompted in large part by Cheney's refusal to stop criticizing Trump, whom she accused of leading a "crusade to undermine our democracy." That alone would explain the media's obsession, given their insufficiently sated lust for nonstop Trump content. Another frontpage headline on CNN asserted: "Liz Cheney's ouster from GOP leadership for criticizing Trump's lies shows the party has moved on from its beacon-of-freedom ideals."
CNN's Stephen Collinson, a "reporter" whose articles are frequently labeled "analysis," made use of opulent prose in his celebration of Cheney's courage, applauding the "powerful speech" she delivered earlier this week on the House floor and exalting her "spare but eloquent remarks that will embroider themselves in political lore."
Did you ever before hear a liberal describe the Republican party as a party holding “beacon-of-freedom ideals”? No, you didn’t, and you never will again. We’ll soon see a return to warnings of “the rising fascist threat”; and no more praise of Cheney as an ‘icon of liberation”. Down the memory hole, while the war resumes.
Over at Salon, the cudgels have already ben picked up;
The more complex (and depressing) truth is that the Republican Party's slide into neofascism, white supremacy and racial authoritarianism has been a long process, one that occurred gradually over the course of several decades. Trumpism is not some aberrant outlier, separate and apart from the Republican Party's agenda and orthodoxy. Trump's presidency and his movement are the logical result of that party's downward evolution, a type of endgame where friendly fascism and authoritarian impulses have been replaced with political sadism and outright contempt for democracy.
So who believes this stuff, this new affection for and admiration of the old-fashioned Republican party of the good old days? Certainly not the Democrats and their scribes with bylines. And certainly not the new Republican party. So that leaves the Lincoln Project and the neocon holdovers from the old GOP gin and tonic set. They always were chumps, and remain so today. Screw the fools.
