A mob of looters ransacked an Oakland gas station convenience store and caused thousands of dollars in damage as the frustrated store manager claimed police took nine hours to respond to his plea for help.

The horde, who had just attended a nearby car sideshow,* broke into the 76 Station near the San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, according to ABC 7 News Bay Area.

Owner Sam Mardaie estimated approximately 80 to 100 people broke through his store’s front door and grabbed everything they could get their hands on. 

“Shelves were ripped apart, all the grocery items were torn or stepped on or vandalized,” Mardaie told the outlet.

Video surveillance obtained by the outlet showed the looters snatching drinks from the fridges, food items off the shelves, boxes and baskets belonging to the store and a television.

The mob was reportedly upset they weren’t allowed inside the store as the business was only offering window service, a normal occurrence for the 24/7 shop during the overnight hours.

Approximately $25,000 in cash was taken from the store’s register and ATM, but the looters couldn’t grab the safe.

Two employees inside the store were threatened during the mass pillaging, which lasted around 40 minutes, Mardaie told KTVU.

“This is the hardest thing you could ever go through…especially if you’ve been put in sweat and tears day in and day out,” the frustrated owner told the outlet.

Maradie says he and his family took over the business in August 2023.

“Building yourself for the last ten months and then you’re back to square one,” he added.

“It’s crazy. I mean it’s a daily thing. It hasn’t been a day since we opened in August that we don’t have an incident.”

“I come from Yemen, a third world country, and we don’t have those incidents in a third world country where there’s no law and order.”

A call was placed to Oakland police but the dispatcher informed the caller the crime was listed as a Priority 2, as no suspects were on scene, adding it could be reported online.

It was only after a video of the mass looting was shared with the department that it was raised to a Priority 1 and an officer was sent to the store nine hours after the robbery began, according to KTVU.

“Report it online”. That’s exactly what the Portland, OR police told a relative of mine when she called 911 to report that thieves were breaking into a car parked right outside her house: “we don’t respond to minor [sic] crimes like this anymore, but you can file a report online, if you care to.” That relative has now moved outside the city.

McDonald's will stop selling 'healthy' menu items due to lack of sales

Who knew? People hitting a burger joint for beef, milkshakes and greasy French fries aren’t particularly interested in buying a salad or a plant patty.

McDonald's USA president Joe Erlinger has now made it clear that salads will not be making a comeback as consumers aren't fussed. 

One thing ​that won't be returning ​to U.S. restaurants nationally is salads. The demand just isn't there,' Erlinger told the Wall Street Journal Global Food Forum in Chicago on Wednesday.

'They're looking for great french fries, they're looking for a $5 meal deal, they're looking for a hot, fresh sandwich, and so that's what we're going to continue to provide them' he explained of McDonald's customers. 

'Almost 90 percent of the U.S. population has McDonald's one time a year,' Erlinger explained to the summit. 

'Because we serve 90 percent of the U.S. population, we really need to stay true to who we are and view our business as an opportunity to drive greater frequency and serve more needs of customers, not necessarily figure out how to serve that last 10 percent or so.' 

… [I]f people really want salads from McDonald's, we will gladly relaunch salads. But what our experience has proven is, that's not what the consumer is looking for from McDonald's.' 

At the same time as he said the chain was ditching salads, Erlinger said that McDonald's had given up on its bid to sell meat-free beef burgers in America.

He said the McPlant has been ditched because customers did not want fake meat.

The chain had been testing the McPlant at several hundred restaurants in California and Texas since trials began in late 2021.

At least they’ve killed the chemical patty after just three years — it took them twenty to figure out what any child could have told them in the first place: vegetables don’t belong in a Happy Meal.

A Whitmer/Shapiro ticket could generate the type of excitement that President Biden is simply incapable of producing. It would also likely attract critically important Independent and Undecided voters as well as disenfranchised Republicans [like Quigley] who will not vote for Mr. Trump and who are have grave concerns about the President’s physical and cognitive ability.

Classic Quigley: “let’s compromise with our friends across the aisle, let’s find a good Democrat to lead the country while we docile Republicans help them achieve their goal of transforming America into a woke paradise, with justice for all”. Someone like Gretchen Whitmer, who shut locked down her state for months, kept the schools closed for years, has vowed to close down “Pipeline 5”, which supplies Michigan’s Upper Peninsula residents with the propane 55% of them use to heat their homes, and is an unabashed captive of Michigan’s state employees union — now that’s a candidate Quigley can support.

Quigley want’s to preserve his president’s legacy, which encompasses:

  • Fleeing Afghanistan, leaving Americans behind to die and millions of dollars of military weapons and equipment for the Taliban’s use;

  • Handing Iran hundreds of millions of dollars to fund its terrorist attacks on America and Israel;

  • Giving Russia a green light to invade Ukraine “as long as it’s just a ‘minor incursion’ (remember?)

  • Opening our borders to tens of millions of penniless, illiterate “newcomers” from around the world and failing to screen them for criminal and terrorist ties;

  • Defying the Supreme Court by using taxpayers’ money to pay off billions of dollars of other people’s student loan debts;

  • Printing trillions of dollars of imaginary money and releasing it into the economy;

  • Appointing hundreds of far-left federal judges to our courts;

  • Shutting down oil exploration and future production and blocking pipelines;

  • Forcing impractical, expensive electric cars on Americans who don’t want them, can’t use them, and can’t afford them

— we could go on, but this is the legacy, these are the policies that Quigley wants to see continue. Not since 1860 has a national election decided the fate and direction of our nation, but this year’s will, and Quigley is now a full-throated supporter of the Democrats’ vision of America. I‘d tell him to go to hell, but if his side wins, we’re all going to be there together, and I can speak to him personally.

Can You Guess Who White House Reporters Blame for Their Decision Not To Expose Biden’s Mental Decline?

"Some members of the White House press corps who have regular exposure to President Biden are now admitting they were 'turned off' from exposing his mental decline before last week's debate in part because of the attention it has got from 'right-wing media,'" reports Fox News.

"Since Biden's shocking debate performance, the legacy media has faced intense backlash from critics accusing them of participating in a cover-up on behalf of the president," the report continued. 

CNN reported Tuesday that reporters working from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. are now expressing regret for not pursuing the political bombshell more seriously.

However, some are admitting they didn't want to feed into the "right-wing talking point" about 81-year-old Biden.

"Biden’s age was also a right-wing talking point for years, something the White House was quick to point out to reporters, which may have inadvertently turned off any serious investigation," CNN reported. 

The report accused "right-wing media figures" of sharing "deceptively edited clips" of Biden, citing the one from the G7 Summit where Biden stepped away from other world leaders to give a thumbs up to parachutists off-camera, prompting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to corral him back to the group for a photo-op, rejecting allegations he was "wandering off."

"The right-wing media was calling him senile from day one, and that wasn’t true," one unnamed reporter told CNN. "Then whenever you report on the age you were in some ways solidifying, giving credence to some people that were actually of bad faith."

WH press secretary says president did not have medical exam after debate

Hours after the White House told reporters that President Biden had not had any recent medical exams, the president reportedly contradicted his press secretary by telling governors that he had a recent medical checkup.

When pressed about the president's health during a press briefing on Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre explicitly told reporters that Biden has not had any medical exams since his last annual physical.

"Has the president had any medical exams since his last annual physical in February?" CNN's Min Jung "MJ" Lee asked.

"And got – and we were able to talk to the – to his doctor about that, and that is a no," Jean-Pierre said.

Jean-Pierre reiterated that the 81-year-old president had not received any kind of medical exam.

"He hasn’t had any kind of medical exam?" Jung said.

"No," Jean-Pierre replied.

Jean-Pierre's comments came just hours before Biden met with Democrat governors at the White House on Wednesday night. 

According to the New York Times, Biden told governors that had seen the White House physician to check on the cold his campaign said that he had during the presidential debate against Trump.

When questioned about the seemingly contradictory comments, the White House sent the following statement to Fox News Digital:

"Several days later, the President was seen to check on his cold and was recovering well," the White House press office clarified.

So, according to the White House, Ol’ Dependables had not seen a doctor before KJP’s press conference, and three hours later he told the Governors that he had, and now the story is that he did see a doctor, but “several day later”. So why’d he tell the governors that he already had?
