Political storm: Harris says DeSantis 'selfish' for reportedly not taking her hurricane-related calls
People are in desperate need of support right now and playing political games at this moment in these crisis situations…is just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish," Harris charged on Monday. "It is about political gamesmanship, instead of doing the job that you took an oath to do, which is to put the people first."
The vice president's comments came a couple of hours after reports from NBC and later ABC News that the Florida governor was not taking calls from Harris regarding storm recovery efforts, citing unnamed aides to the governor who said the calls seemed political in nature.
DeSantis, in an interview on Fox News' "Hannity" on Monday evening, fired back, calling the vice president "delusional. … “I've had storms under both President Trump and President Biden. And I've worked well with both of them. She's the first one who's trying to politicize the storm. And she's doing that just because of her campaign.”
This lady is the Vice-President, not the President (betcha didn’t know we had one, did you?), and her sole focus these days is running for the presidency. She has neither the willingness nor the ability to assist in a natural or manmade disaster, so why should DeSantis accommodate her PR flacks? He’s got better things to do with his time than listening to inanities from an idiot while Hurricane Milt barrels towards his state.
I do know this: if an enormous hurricane were headed my way, I’d rather be in a state governed by Ron DeSantis than in one that had to dependent on the federal government, “assisted” by Kamilla and her video team, for help. .

October 4, 2024 (Greenwich, CT) - [click for access to record archives] The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the 2024 Third Quarter statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT.
There were 158 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings decreased compared to Q3 2023 when there were 166 closings.
The median sale price for a single-family home increased to $3,045,051 from the median sales price in Q3 2023, which was $2,502,500.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 59 days; which was a decrease from 88 days in Q3 2023.
There were 56 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was an increase from Q3 2023 when there were 45 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op increased to $993,500 from the median sales price in Q3 2023, which was $914,000.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 49; which was a decrease from 55 days in Q3 2023.
Single-Family Home Sales
There were 37 single-family residential closings reported across all areas of Greenwich during the month of September 2024. This was a decrease, compared to September 2023 when there were 43 closings.
The Median Sale Price for a single-family home increased 1.969% to $3,305,000 from the median sales price in September 2023, which was $3,250,000.
The average Days On Market (DOM) for residential homes was 79 days; which was a 21% decrease from 100 days in September 2023.
There were 71 new single-family listings brought to the market in September 2024, which is a 9.23% increase in New Listings when compared to September 2023 when there were 65. At month-end, Active single-family inventory totaled 182 units, which is a 10.3% increase from September 2023 when there were 165 units available.
Condominium and Co-op Sales
There were 17 condo/co-op residential closings reported across all areas of Greenwich during the month of September 2024. This was an increase, compared to September 2023 when there were 11 closings.
The Median Sale Price for a condo/co-op decreased 5.91% to $860,000 from the median sales price in September 2023, which was $914,000.
The average Days On Market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 30, which was a 73.91% decrease from 115 days in September 2023.
There were 16 new condo/co-op units brought to the market in September 2024, which is a decrease of new listings compared to September 2023 when there were 23. At month-end, Active condo/co-op inventory totaled 31 units, which is a 36.7% decrease from September 2023 when there were 40 units available.
"In September, we saw a decrease in single-family home sales compared to last year, with 37 closings. However, the Median Sale Price for single-family homes increased to $3,305,000, showing continued strength in the market. We also observed a significant decrease in Days On Market, indicating a faster pace of sales. The condo/co-op market performed well, with an increase in closings and a Median Sale Price of $860,000.

Democrats really think they got him this time. “Dangerous,” “weird,” an ominous blood red backdrop with two spectral faces simultaneously blending together and ripping apart.
What did they mean by this?
This latest hit from the official X account of The Democrats seems to imply that the bloodthirsty spirit of a Trump-Vance presidency hovers in the air like phantasmal smog. They’re going to end democracy, turn women into broodmares for high-status men, put you back in chains — you know, whatever political domination fetish they’re pushing these days.
But in reality, nothing could possibly make this duo look cooler. This could easily be the cover art for the best punk album since “Ramones” (1976). Or even better, maybe it’s a billboard for a new right-wing futurist art exhibit on Manhattan’s grungy Lower East Side. I’d love to see this plastered on some exposed brick on Wooster Street
