Biden rails against Meta’s fact-checking change, suggests it’s un-American: ‘Really shameful’ 

President Biden slammed Meta on Friday for ending its third-party fact-checking program, arguing that the change goes against American values and is “shameful.” 

“The whole idea of walking away from facts checking [sic] as well as not reporting anything having to do with, uh, um, discrimination regarding TPS I find to be just contrary to American justice,” Biden said in response to a reporter’s question about Meta’s recent policy shift.

It’s unclear what the 82-year-old president was referring to when he suggested Meta was not reporting discrimination “regarding TPS,” an acronym for the Temporary Protected Status program offered to foreign nationals from certain countries. 

The president fumed that “a billionaire can buy something and say, ‘By the way, from this point on, we’re not going to, we’re not going to fact check anything.’”

Zuckerberg, 40, did not buy Meta, he originally founded the company as Facebook in 2004.

“When you have millions of people reading, going online, reading this stuff, it is — anyway, I think it’s, I think it’s really shameful,” Biden concluded. 

…. In an interview released just hours before the president’s remarks, Zuckerberg slammed the Biden administration on the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast for pushing Meta to censor content related to COVID-19 vaccines. 

The Meta boss claimed Biden officials phoned executives at the company to “scream” and “curse” at them while demanding that they remove any negative posts about the coronavirus vaccine on Facebook. 

“It was brutal,” Zuckerberg said of the ordeal, arguing that “the US government should be defending its companies, not be at the tip of the spear attacking its companies.”

Who knew that when the left cheered Biden’s 2016 electoral triumph as “the return of adults to the White House” they were referring to adult diapers?

The U.S. is emerging from its most repressive era of suppression of truth and free speech since the Wilson administration crushed dissent during WW 1, so Biden’s performance yesterday, mouthing words he didn’t understand and that his handlers know to be duplicitous was a fitting end to our national nightmare.

Department of Homeland “Security” Extends Deportation Protection To Hundreds Of Thousands — “it’s been raining like crazy down in El Salvadore”.

Extended for another 18 months, “because it’s been raining down there for two years (uh-huh), and there was an in 2001”.

The Biden administration announced on Friday it will provide protections to hundreds of thousands of El Salvadoran nationals living in the United States, citing stormy weather and heavy rain that took place in the country.

The roughly 234,000 El Salvadoran beneficiaries of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) will be allowed to register for an 18-month extension, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Friday. The move marks the latest last-minute push to extend deportation protections to illegal migrants and other foreign nationals living in the U.S before President-elect Donald Trump resumes office and gets to work on his sweeping immigration enforcement agenda.

“After reviewing the country conditions in El Salvador and consulting with interagency partners, it was determined that an 18-month TPS extension is warranted because of continued conditions from environmental disasters that resulted in a substantial, but temporary, disruption of living conditions in the affected areas of El Salvador,” the DHS announcement stated.

“El Salvador’s extension of TPS is based on geological and weather events, including significant storms and heavy rainfall in 2023 and 2024, that continue to affect areas heavily impacted by the earthquakes in 2001,” the statement continued.

First created by the federal government in 1990, TPS provides certain deportation protections and work eligibility to those who receive its designation, according to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The administration may designate TPS for foreign nationals residing in the U.S. whose home countries are experiencing any number of situations that may make it dangerous for them to return, such as a natural disaster or military conflict.

There are currently 17 countries with a TPS designation, according to USCIS. El Salvadorans — who’ve enjoyed TPS since 2001 — would’ve seen their designation end on March 9, but the extension announced Friday means they can now remain in the U.S. until Sept. 9, 2026. The Biden administration announced TPS for Lebanese nationals in October, and other designations may come before President Joe Biden leaves office later in January.

A number of Democratic lawmakers have pleaded with Biden to dole out TPS extensions before he leaves office, calling the remaining days he has left a “critical window” before the Trump administration comes into power and cracks down on illegal immigration.

Trump — who has promised to conduct the largest deportation operation in the country’s history, among numerous other hawkish immigration enforcement proposals — has also publicly expressed interest in revoking the TPS program upon his return to office. The former president attempted to end TPS for El Salvador in 2020, but those efforts were held up in court in the waning days of his first term.

A common critique of the program is that it is “temporary” in name only, with extensions happening continuously. Salvadorans, for example, have been enjoying protected status for over 20 years.

The article itself is innocuous enough — Yaeger mostly just reprints the GPD press release — but her choice to emphasize in her headline the gender of those promoted makes me suspect that she’d have preferred to see some women advanced, instead of all “men”. Someone like Los Angeles’ LBGT Fire Chief Kristin Crowley perhaps? There’s talk that she may be available for service in a different branch of public safety soon, and an opportunity to transplant herself and her wife from the west coast to the east, 3,000 miles away, might be appealing.

John Stossel Already Debunked the Idea That Climate Change Caused the California Wildfires

…. With the California wildfires raging around LA, you can bet the Democrats immediately pointed to climate change as the culprit. 

Is it? Did the fires start because of the prophesied coming of mother nature's retribution for humanity's hubris and abuse of the planet? 

Nope. Paganism is, once again, wrong.

The fires are the fault of bad management and horrific environmental policies laid down by the very people who claim to love the environment the most, and John Stossel's video on the subject makes that very clear. 

As usual, Stossel cut through the nonsense the left and its obedient media like to feed the people and looked at the facts. Funny enough, the video he created on the California wildfires wasn't even from this year. This video, in particular, was released four years ago when wildfires were raging through California thanks to government mismanagement of the forests. 

As Stossel points out in a post on X, nothing has actually changed. 

The funny part about all this is that, in his video from 2020, he points out that even many environmental groups such as the Sierra Club, and environmentalists like Michael Shellenberger, agree that the way the forests are being managed are wholly wrong. Fires are a good thing and help keep the forest refreshed and healthy, however, well maintained forests allow for burning without it getting out of control. 

….. As Stossel notes in his video, the real cause is "foolish policies." 

"For years, government put out every fire they could," said Stossel, who goes on to say that to protect forests you have to occasionally burn them and implement "selective cutting." 

Shellenberger noted that Native Americans understood this, and they would start fires from time to time. Early Europeans would even note that, during the summer months in California, the air would be smokey because fires were so natural there, but thanks to bad policies, there haven't been good fires for around 100 years. This causes a lot of dead brush to accumulate, effectively creating a tinderbox. 

None of this is helped by the "apocalyptic" journalists who continue to push the idea that these fires can never be allowed to happen, or continue to blame every incident of fires on world-ending climate change.

As Stossel shows in his video, ecologist Hugh Stafford of the US Forest Service said "we have to get away from the tree hugging mentality." 

Shellenberger notes that Newsom and Trump signed an agreement to begin doing better forest maintenance, such as cutting down trees, in order to better protect the people from fires. However, as Mel Gibson and Joe Rogan recently discussed, Newsom never did what he agreed to do. 

And now we have the LA fires.

Wolcott police: Officer arrests machete-wielder driver who was chasing another motorist

Robert Berardi, 67, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled substance, failure to keep narcotics in the original container and possession with intent to sell narcotics, according to a news release posted on Facebook by the Wolcott Police Department. Police did not indicate where Berardi lives.

Police said the arrest happened just after 11 a.m., when Sgt. Alex Talbot was on patrol in a police cruiser in the area of Nichols Road and Wolf Hill Road when he was flagged down by a motorist. They said the officer saw the motorist to be distressed and yelling, "This guy behind me is crazy, he has a machete."

Police said a search was conducted, and Berardi was found to be in possession of 40 glassine baggies containing a powdery substance as well as a prescription bottle containing pills other than what was on the label. They said the powder was tested by detectives, resulting positive for the presence of fentanyl.

During the investigation, police said, it was learned that Berardi began following the victim as a result of a road rage incident that began on Wolcott Road. They said Berardi was waving the machete from his vehicle in a threatening manner and continued to follow the victim until Talbot intervened.

Delusional: Pride Magazine Celebrates Lesbian Fire Chief of L.A. As City Burns Down

“It's obvious that Fire Chief Kristen Crowley, who is leading the effort to extinguish the L.A. fires, is not exactly killing it, but that isn't how Pride magazine sees it. Kristen is a lesbian, and that is all that matters.”

“I read the article that accompanies the headline and was struck by something that was totally missing: any mention of her efforts to get the fires under control and no mention of how disastrous the situation is. It's all about how great it is that she is a lesbian and how awful it is that people are pointing out that she is a DEI hire who prioritizes DEI in hiring, as she proudly notes in her biography. 

“Pride, though, thinks Crowley is "getting it done." The "it," it turns out, has little to do with fighting fires though.”

The stereotype of lesbians always being prepared for an emergency — everyone knows a queer woman who doesn’t leave the house without a Leatherman multitool and carabiners — holds true for Los Angeles’ first openly LGBTQ+ Fire Chief Kristin Crowley who is overseeing the firefighters trying to stop the Palisades fire.

As of Wednesday morning, more than 5,000 acres in the affluent celebrity-inhabited neighborhood of Pacific Palisades in southern California has been consumed by fire, with approximately 1,000 structures and coastal homes reduced to rubble.

The fire is being called “one of the most destructive firestorms to hit the region in memory” by the LA Times and has already carved a path of destruction along the Pacific Coast Highway.

“I had no idea of the stereotype that lesbians are always prepared for an emergency. Who knew? 

“As you can see, Pride acknowledges that there is indeed a massive fire in L.A.--one of the most destructive in memory. So at least there is that. Unfortunately, they can't specify how Crowley is "getting it done" because, in fact, "it" is NOT getting done. Firefighters don't even have consistent access to water, and the fires are killing people, destroying some of the most exclusive real estate in the world, and totally out of control.
