Well when it comes to global warming, any and all "scientific" predications are equal, so bottoms up!

Scientist says that global warming will wipe out humanity by 2016 and there's nothing we can do about it, so live it up.

Of course, before you make  full deposit on a terminal New Year's bash on December 31, 2026, you might want to consider this:

Comparing actual records and observations, rather than relying on computer models, scientists have concluded that Antarctic ice hasn't melted a bit since Scott and Shackleton's expeditions to our lowest neighbor.

Antarctic sea ice had barely changed from where it was 100 years ago, scientists have discovered, after poring over the logbooks of great polar explorers such as Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton.
Experts were concerned that ice at the South Pole had declined significantly since the 1950s, which they feared was driven by man-made climate change.
But new analysis suggests that conditions are now virtually identical to when the Terra Nova and Endurance sailed to the continent in the early 1900s, indicating that declines are part of a natural cycle and not the result of global warming.

So maybe you shouldn't liquidate your 401K just yet?

But on the other hand, and there's always an other hand, official spokesmen for the Global Warming School of Mother Gaia and Impending Doom say otherwise, and they're perfectly willing to tell you and school children everywhere all about it.  Last April, for instance, the Smithsonian Institution, once known s a scientific organization, warned school children that Antarctic Ice is melting at an unprecedented rate and will completely disappear by 2050, downing the world.

You can do your own Googling: "Antarctic ice melting faster" and come up with hundreds of settled-science reports of impending doom from this issue, or you can believe the other settled science and enjoy the last ten years of your life, or you can tell all of these people to just stfu. I know my course.
