Fake news

Newsweek's Kurt Eichenwald falsely reports that Trump supporters booed John Glenn. He subsequently confessed that he had been "confused". long after his story had sped around the internet. The Pope has suggested that people like Eichenwald engage in this kind of duplicity because they're fecal fetishists who derive sex pleasure from eating turds. That seems a bit harsh, but then, I've never met Mr. Eichenwald, and perhaps His Holiness has.

As always when a new pseudo-issue: in this case "fake news", surfaces on the Left and becomes an instant news head, it's because the Left is trying to distract people's attention to the Left's own behavior. After the NYT called on reporters back in August to "abandon their objectivity" [sic] in order to stop Trump, it put an end to any pretense that the press offered "real" news, while conservatives did not.
