British doctors call for warning labels on "dangerous" avocados after spate of injuries from consumers slicing their fingers opening them.

British surgeons have seen such a spike in the number of people who seriously injure themselves while trying to penetrate avocados’ rubbery skin and remove its finicky pit that they’ve dubbed the condition “avocado hand.”
The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons is demanding a warning label on the trendy food, which is actually quite healthy if consumers can manage to remove the skin and pit without also removing their own fingers.

Arizona man clad in shorts and T shirt attempted to climb 9,000-ft peak in order to win a free pizza,  got hypothermia instead of pepperoni.

The mountain had several inches of snow from a spring storm when authorities received a report of the man being in trouble and asked the lookout to check for him, [Sheriff Rex] Gilliland said.
The man was unaware of the forecast or disregarded it when he set out Tuesday morning, Gilliland said.
“Regardless of what this business offers … the responsibility falls back to the individual to make good sound decisions about what they’re going to do,” he said.
The freezing temperature and snowfall on the mountain were clear signs that the hike would be dangerous, Gilliland said.
“It shouldn’t have been a surprise,” Gilliland said.

It's commonly said that you can't fix stupid, but sharp knives and mountain weather can apparently at least thin the numbers.
