Byram sales price reported

9 Byram Dock Street has sold for $3.4 million, down a bit from its October ask of $3.995, but still not bad.Its builders surely did better than the previous owners, who paid $2.5 million for the1920 residence on the site in 2001, and for some obscure reason put it back up for sale in 2007 at $5.8 million, an improbable price at any time, let alone the year the market collapsed.

Foreclosure proceedings began in 2009 and, as is the way of these things, at least as practiced in Connecticut, the owners/debtors managed to stall proceedings for four years, finally being ejected in November, 2013.

I'm not sure what these latest sellers bought the property for, but I imagine it was low enough to make some decent change here.
