Wouldn't you think we'd have put some sort of self-destruct function into our drones?

The Iranian drone sent into Israel is said to be a reverse-engineered copy of a US model captured by the happy warriors some years ago.

I obviously know from nothin' about military weapons, but I'd think that if we can design a drone and fly it by remote control, we should be able to blow it up remotely, too. Am I missing something here? Probably, but I don't know what.
