Putnam Park heating problems?

A reader who is interested in an apartment in this co-op tells me that she was warned by a former owner that, some years ago, the complex's central heating system made it hard, if not impossible, to control the temperature in individual units. My only experience in the place was when I was three-years-old, visiting my grandmother after she'd moved here from California and moved in for  temporary quarters while she looked for a permanent home. My memories from back then are pretty much restricted to bouncing on a sofa, and I don't remember a heat problem, but the units were only six-years-old then, and things may have changed.
