Now Governor Newson won't let counties reopen unless they prove "racial equity"

October 09, 2020/ Chris Fountain
“Whoa, not so fast.”

“Whoa, not so fast.”

Wanna reopen your store, your business, your life in California? Better hope that your county has established a new to measure the “racial equity” of COVID cases, and that whites and other races all have the same rates.

Which is in accord with what he said on a general basis just last week: Asked at a news conference whether he saw the COVID panic as an opportunity to push implementation of a “new progressive era”, forward a progressive agenda, Newsom replied, “Absolutely… the answer is yes”.

‘There is opportunity for reimagining a [more] progressive era as it [relates] to capitalism,’ Gov. Newsom said. ‘So yes, absolutely we see this as an opportunity to reshape the way we do business and how we govern.’”

Newsom is merely echoing House Majority Whip James Clyburn’s remark to fellow Democrats back in March, when the first Covid relief bill was being shaped: “This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision”.

Anyone who imagines this is about, or has anything to do with stoping COVID is a chump
