Jefferson, Washington, Francis Scott Key, Walt Whitman, Winston Churchill, the list is endless, and won’t end until all remnants of what was western civilization is gone, completely, from our schools, public spaces and government.

Rod Dreher has a thoughtful essay over at The American Conservative that addresses the two issues that have been troubling me during this frenzy of historical eradication: It’s not so much which statutes are coming down (all of them) but the fact that the police have been ordered to stand down and let this continue. And even more troubling, having erased the history of the western world, what statues, what vision of America will replace it?
