Still more CA Walgreen’s pharmacies close due to “organized crime”

Walgreen’s shareholders (and those of CVS, and other chains that are shutting their stores) won’t notice this hit to the bottom line, but a lot of the elderly shoppers who used to walk to their neighborhood store to pick up prescriptions or buy food at smaller stores, also closing, are now faced with a bus ride out to more civilized neighborhoods.

Stories like this have been circulating for quite a while, ever since the state decriminalized shoplifting — here’s one from last May — but the trend is increasing. California here I go, right back where the crime is slow.
