And practically nothing happened this week. It’s not too surprising that there were just a few contracts reported because they usually take a week or so to get negotiated and signed, but only five single-family residences came on the market. This should be a prime house-hunting weekend coming up, but there’s little to see, and almost nothing that’s new.
I’m hoping that this dearth of fresh inventory is due to a misreading/misjudgment of the market by prospective home sellers, but if it’s actually an indication of actual intention to stay put and shelter in place, buyers are in for a rough spring.
