Maybe soon-to-depart RTC Chairman Dan Quigley could write for Politico?

Other Republicans in other states have seen the future, but Quigley, not so much:

Dan Quigley: “Being a Republican ‘Right Winger’ used to mean that you were hawkish on fiscal, social issues and foreign policy,” Quigley wrote. ”Now, this group has morphed into a cluster of angry outsiders who embrace fringe issues, basing their conclusions on dodgy facts and conspiracy theories. Locally, Greenwich Patriots are a perfect example of this. They routinely act in their own best interests, do not represent or care about the local Republican Party and use misinformation and distortion of facts to manipulate opinions.”

Politico originally ran with the Quigley line: Jan.6, 2022:

But oh, what difference a week makes:

Personally, I would prefer that Trump not run again, but Republicans are going to have to acknowledge and accommodate the disgust for many of their current party leaders or they will indeed become the fringe party Quigley warns about.
