I hope this never sells: after laughing at it for 15 years now, what would I do for entertainment?

why is this man smiling?

634 North Street, the New Orleans bordello spec project that was erected in 2007, has cut its price a cool million today and is now asking $4.999 million. That’s the second six-figure cut it’s taken since its owner Chase Bank put it back on the market in June at $6.999.

This monument to bad taste and highway noise was first offered in 2007 for $7.495 million, a price that went up (!) over the years, reaching $10.750 million before its builder lost his final battle with the banks and walked away.

WaMu was originally into the place for $5.5 million back in ‘07, but WaMu’s long gone, and I believe that Chase paid little-to-nothing for its non-performing loan portfolio, so this is funny money now; toss ‘em an offer, spare them the expense of maintaining the marble and rosewood over the winter, and you could probably be in by Christmas.
