I'm not at all sure that we’ll wake on Wednesday to discover that Jubilee Day has arrived

The “red tsunami” being predicted for this election is comforting, but will it prove to be just a poisonous red tide? I, and many others, look at what’s happening to our country and what the Democrats promise to do to it and think that no sane voter could vote for more of the same, but who says they’re sane? The fact that a brain-damaged candidate who even before his stroke was an avowed socialist and Global Warmist is likely to win a senate seat in Pennsylvania is just the most obvious indication that millions of voters do want to keep Democrats in power, and do want more of their “guidance”. NY’s corrupt, hapless “Governor Pay to Play” Hochul is likely to win re-election, as is Michigan’s Whitmer. And so on.

I’ve spoken (not argued) with a number of Democrats and self-described “Independents” over the past couple of weeks and found them to be absolutely wedded to the Democrat’s and their media arm’s version of reality, and won’t be shaken by contrary facts. And they all intend to vote tomorrow. (Over at Red State, Bob Hodge posted an interesting article last week on how the Left and the Right are living in entirely different worlds because they are receiving entirely different news.)

I hope I’m wrong. In the meantime, Joe was out on the hustings this weekend, admitting that he has stopped all drilling in the United States — and, with the complicity of the EPA, he has, falling off a stage, and, my favorite repeating an absolute lie that “i’ve said many time before” about an irrelevant, but still false nonetheless claim a bullet fired from an AR-15 travels “5X faster than any other gun”. We’ll start with that one, just because it’s so easily refuted, as his handlers know, and yet they have him out there repeating it to the loyal brainwashed.

“I feel like I say this in every piece I write on a Biden public appearance, but I’m at a loss. Did he get scared by his own shadow? I’m only half joking because even though we can’t see the stage, it doesn’t appear there was actually anything in his way. Later he walks in the same spot without issue. He seems genuinely startled at that moment, shouting “it’s black” without any further explanation. It was weird, even by Biden’s standards.
