Oh, THOSE passports!

That statement is no longer operative

Notice that this “leak” to the CBS Evening News anchor (I had to look her up) by the FBI is just a continuation of the Justice Department’s decades of passing on secrets, often false, to favorite allies like the NYT and the Washington Post. Since 2017, these criminals have been trying to first, prevent Trump from becoming president, then sabotage his presidency, and now stop him from running again. But Trump is hardly their only target: the FBI has been blackmailing, framing, and spying on people it perceives as its enemies since J. Edgar Hoover first put on a dress and assumed control of its predecessor, the Bureau of investigation, in 1924.

Those calling for the complete defunding of this nest of vipers are probably going too far; there are still genuine spies, criminals, and terrorists roaming the country, and sometimes the FBI can actually catch them, instead of instigating their “crimes”, but the place could certainly use a thorough house cleaning, from the top to the lowliest agent.

UPDATE The WSJ has a thorough debunking of the Washington Post’s and Bloomberg’s stories about the super-secret nuclear weapons documents that Trump was supposed to have held (Bloomberg suggests that, due to business reversals, he was planning to peddle them to hostile enemies — to his boss, Putin, I assume), and the FBI’s involvement. This post is already too long, but if you have the stomach for more of the same, you can follow the link.
