What do you do when your house has been on the market for 13 years and still won't sell?

Why, raise the price, of course. As late as yesterday at midnight, 10 Spring House Road, which was originally priced at $8.9 million in 2010, could have been yours for $3.595. But you didn’t take advantage of that opportunity, did you, so today you must be punished: its new price this morning, $4.250.

This house has been a jumbled hodgepodge of ill-fitting, uncoordinated additions and poor design since at least 2002, and that, in addition to its preposterous opening price, has always been the trouble; raising the price is unlikely to solve either issue.

Nice land, though.
