Exactly my own observations: the majority of voters ( or a whole a whole lot of them anyway) care about only two issues

The measure was ostensibly about abortion, and that’s what the media and its gullible consumers focused on, but Soros and his followers have their eye on bigger game: watch for ever-increasing constitutional amendments pushing the liberal agenda to be enacted in coming years.
The results accord with what I’ve learned myself in conversations with the few liberals who will still talk with me: they are exclusively focused on two topics: Trump and abortion, period. They don’t care that their electric bills have doubled and are set to double again in two years, they know nothing about the rolling blackouts coming their way, or the Biden administration’s continuing effort to block all mining and oil production in America, and if the justice system has been weaponized against political enemies of the state, well so what? It will get rid of Trump, even imprison him, and who cares after that?
Many commentators on the right, and even mere observers like myself, wish the election would focus on issues, because we’d win if it did. But I haven’t met a single Democrat or even independent voter who looks beyond Trump and abortion, and that’s scary.
