Bidding war in Havemeyer

1 Robin Place, asked $1,695, closed today at $1.845 million. 1954 construction, the owners have obviously added on a bit (though it’s still only 2,300 sq. ft.) and maintained it during their 50-year ownership, but it does retain that unmistakable ‘70s charm.

This doesn’t mean that it’s not perfectly livable as is, but it wasn’t so long ago that a client of mine was building and selling new homes twice this one’s size in Havemeyer and fetching $1.8-$1.895 for them. Goodness.
