This is the new England, where the government is arresting and imprisoning its citizens for daring to criticize Islam or question the policy of open immigration, so why not?

David Strom: The authorities and the elites are like the peasants fleeing from wolves who throw the infant to them to slow them down. Eat our child, not us. They are far worse than Neville Chamberlain, who at least hoped to keep the British Empire out of a devastating war. These elites are happy to sacrifice their own citizens if they can buy a bit more time for themselves. 

Those right-thinking Brits seem similar to American Jews who are ignoring or even approving the increasing anti-Semitism in Blue cities and campuses across the country: “Oh, they’re not against Jews, just Israel and its awful leaders. We’re as safe here as our late cousins in Germany, who were safely assimilated into German culture and secure against anything happening to them”.
