“Democratic House members Robert Garcia and Maxwell Frost, apparently hoping to cash in on the popularity of El Savadoran gang member and human trafficker Kilmar Abrego Garcia, applied to the House Oversight Committee, of which they are members, to fund a visit to El Salvador to visit him. Committee Chairman James Comer responded with the letter that is reproduced below.”

It is absurd that you both displayed active hostility for over two years toward the Committee’s oversight of the Biden Border Crisis and the consequences of millions of illegal aliens entering the country, yet now, you are seeking travel at Committee expense to meet with foreign gang members.

Just so. Joe Biden’s enticing of ten million illegal immigrants into this country was the greatest violation of the rule of law in American history, and the Democrats have nothing to say about it, except to continue applauding lawbreakers.

Chairman Comer concludes:

You may be pleased to know that a Democrat Senator, Chris Van Hollen, was photographed just yesterday in El Salvador enjoying margaritas garnished with cherry slices with the foreign gang member your letter references. If you also wish to meet with him, you can spend your own money. But I will not approve a single dime of taxpayer funds for use on the excursion you have requested.

Mind you, Chairman Comer may simply have been trying to protect Rep. Garcia from an unpleasant experience within the walls of the prison he wanted to visit; then again, maybe that is why he wanted to drop by. Here’s Mr. and Mrs. Garcia on their wedding day:
