Old Church Road sale

147 Old Church Road has closed at $2.8 million; it started its journey at $3.495 million back in October ‘24. Achieving 80% of that first price is an improvement of its last appearance on the market when it began at $3.150 on February 15 2015 and sold for 73% of that: $2.310 in July, 2016.

I like this house, and Old Church Road is a great street, but I’m not sure the description of the place as a “stunning renovation” is entirely spot-on when those renovations are limited to maintenance items listed as . “New generator, compressor, air handler upstairs, range, oven, dishwasher, ice maker, microwave, washer and dryer.” And calling this house “pre-war construction”, while accurate, is generally understood to mean the era just before WW II, not the Russo-Japanese War of 2005. Whatever, those are mere quibbles.

(One feature not mentioned in the listing is the spacious terrace, large enough to accommodate unfortunate dinner guests suffering from Alpha-gal Syndrome and forced into culinary exile by their concerned hostess.)
