Comrade Hilton better hope he has a reserve supply of janitors and chambermaids for after the ICE storm that’s being formed as I write (Updated)

Adiós, Consuela. Que tengas un buen viaje de regreso a casa y gracias por tus servicios.

Hilton Hotels is refusing service to the Department of Homeland Security agents who are engaged in immigration enforcement activities in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul region.

The decision was likely made by the local franchisee, EverPeak Hospitality, and not the corporate office, but that will make no difference at all as the public backlash (and applause, no doubt) rolls in.

Hilton has a massive public relations headache to deal with.

NO ROOM AT THE INN!

@HiltonHotels has launched a coordinated campaign in Minneapolis to REFUSE service to DHS law enforcement.

When officers attempted to book rooms using official government emails and rates, Hilton Hotels maliciously CANCELLED their reservations.

This is UNACCEPTABLE. Why is Hilton Hotels siding with murderers and rapists to deliberately undermine and impede DHS law enforcement from their mission to enforce our nation’s immigration laws?

While we’re at it, can we deport paris to france?

UPDATE 1/6/26: The lied, they died: Hilton cancels franchise agreement with hotel owners when it was revealed that, contrary to what they’d said, they had not rescinded the ban on ICE agent.

Hilton is booting an independently franchised Minneapolis hotel from operating under its name after it banned immigration agents and then lied about reversing the policy.

The global hotel chain was swiftly denounced Monday after Homeland Security shared an email from the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Lakeville notifying the agency it was canceling reservations made by agents ahead of an immigration enforcement deployment.

“The independent hotel owner had assured us that they had fixed this problem and published a message confirming this,” read a statement from Hilton posted on X Tuesday morning.

“As such, we are taking immediate action to remove this hotel from our systems.”

The statement also referenced a video shot by conservative influencer Nick Sortor in which he visited the property and was told by the front desk agent that reservations under DHS or ICE were not allowed, per management, despite the operator Everpeak Hotels releasing a statement to the contrary just hours earlier.

“We’re not accepting people from immigration, ICE agents, DHS onto our property … it’s just policy,” the clerk told Sortor in the video on X viewed nearly 2 million times.

Influencer Nick Sortor, armed with a video recording device, visited the Lakeville Hampton Inn and quickly learned that the owner and front desk manager, at least, weren’t about to change their unwelcoming stance.

In the video posted on X, Sortor asks about available rooms and is met with resistance when he says they are for DHS.

“We’re not accepting people from immigration, ICE agents, DHS, onto our property,” the clerk says. “It’s just per management, our ownership.”

Sortor points to Hilton’s statement, but the front desk manager indicates he had just spoken with the owner, who informed him there was no change to the selective policy.
