Call it 41 Hurlingham or 1 Cowderay, just don't call it sold — yet

It’s back, with a new, higher price!
41 Hurlingham Drive/One Cowdray Park, 12-acres that once had a house on it but apparently no longer does, has been placed back on the market. The would-be seller still seems to be unsure of the price he can persuaded to part with it, so this time he’s asking for $8.5 million, up considerably from the $4.5 he begged for in 2024, the $5.8 he requested in ‘22-’23, the $6.950 price he pleaded for in ‘21-’22, the $7 he demanded in ‘17-’19, or even the $6 million “hey — you want it or not?” price in 2016.
And speaking of comedy
The picture of the ponies I’ve used was inspired by Steve Martin’s 1980 recreation of Marty Robbin’s El Paso. If you haven’t seen it a while, or have never seen it because you hadn’t been born yet, it’s a fun 4 1/2 minutes.
