Lil Wayne no-shows opening tour concert in Maine as fans are left outraged

Lil Wayne left fans outraged after he failed to take the stage at the opening night of his “20 Years of Carter Classics” tour Tuesday in Maine.

The rapper, 43, was scheduled to headline the first stop of the tour at Bangor’s Maine Savings Amphitheater, but after opener 2 Chainz performed and a DJ kept the crowd entertained, Lil Wayne never appeared.

His set had been scheduled to begin at 10:45 p.m., but by 11 p.m. the crowd was informed the show was over.

Waterfront Concerts President Alex Gray apologized to the crowd, saying it was the first time something like this had happened in the company’s 251-show history, according to local station WABI.

Who tipped him off beforehand?
