The (few) liberals I even briefly discussed politics with over the past five years, from the start of Biden’s presidential campaign through his ignominious eviction from the White House this past January, were all perfectly willing to ignore the evidence of their own eyes and ears and trust their sole sources of news: the NYT, NPR, CNN and MNBC: “He’s fine”; “those are fake videos”; “He’s stuttered since he was a child”; “He never said that (in the face of internet clips irrefutably showing him saying exactly “that”.) Finally, when the pretense could no longer be sustained, they admitted the sole reason they were voting for him, swaddled in Depends or not: “he’s not Trump”.

That’s all the media needed to say from the beginning, so its efforts to prop up the AntiTrump were a foolish waste of energy; except, of course, that it was all a circle jerk, designed and maintained to impress their fellow “professionals” that they were real journalists, reporting actual news, and not just serving as trained monkeys for their betters.

An Indian citizen who is one of the most wanted fugitives in his home country for his alleged connections with terrorist activities, including planning more than a dozen grenade attacks on police officials, has been arrested by immigration officials for being in the United States illegally. 

Harpreet Singh was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents last week, Fox News has learned. 

Singh entered the U.S. illegally on Jan. 27, 2022, in Arizona. He was arrested by a U.S. Border Patrol agent from Tucson’s sector, placed in removal proceedings, and then released into the interior of the country.  

He was arrested by ICE on April 16 in Sacramento, Calif., and will remain in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings.

U.S. Rep. Jim Himes says Medicaid cuts could force closure of Greenwich's Nathaniel Witherell

“GREENWICH — A Republican proposal on Capitol Hill could spell financial ruin for the Nathaniel Witherell, Greenwich's town-run skilled nursing facility, as well as creating other problems in the healthcare system, according to U.S. Rep. Jim Himes.

"I think well more than half of their revenue comes from Medicaid," Himes said on Tuesday. "At a time when the Republicans in the House are saying, 'We're going to cut $880 billion over 10 years, so about $88 billion a year, from Medicaid.' That could end up closing, if it goes through that way, closing Nathaniel Witherell."

What proposal is Himes using to terrify old people and their children? This:

The resolution directs the House Committee On Energy and Commerce, which oversees Medicare and Medicaid, to cut $880 billion from its section of the budget over 10 years, which totals $25 trillion. The biggest chunk of that 10-year budget is Medicare, followed by Medicaid, so cutting $880 billion will include cutting Medicaid in some fashion, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Peter Kelly, chair of the board of the Nathaniel Witherell, said cutting Medicaid has been a topic of discussion for about 20 years now and doing so would be a problem for most healthcare facilities.

"It's certainly something that I'm concerned about, the board's concerned about," he said. "I don't think it's something that any health care provider  —  whether it's acute care or long-term care as is the case of Witherell  —  any cuts to Medicaid can be, depending on the size of them, can be devastating."

Himes, bless his heart, has long been a supporter of Medicaid reform. Here he is, all the way back in 2011, calling for the government to get ready to take action, by golly:

[W]e must be "prepared to equitably reform these programs to address the challenging problem of rising health care costs and ensure that these important safety net programs are here to help this generation and the next.

Jimbo’s been “prepared” for 16 years now, and he doubtless still is; just don’t threaten to cut a single penny of that $25 trillion, or he and his partners in crime will hit the airwaves and small town hustings decrying the heartlessness and cruelty of it all.

Wait, Was Joe Biden Photoshopped in His Family Easter Photo?

Who knows if this is true, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it turned out that Joe Biden’s Easter photo was fake. The former president took a picture with his family, and many are wondering one thing: was this photoshopped? I mean, it’s odd looking. First, I doubt that Joe, given his age, is kneeling or squatting like that to get into the photo.

Maybe:

The proportion of Joe in relation to the rest of his family, and the shape of his hand holding the back of a family member’s neck certainly look off. Has anyone tried playing recent speeches of Biden backwards to check for subliminal messages about his condition?

Committee Chairman James Comer responded with the letter that is reproduced below.”

It is absurd that you both displayed active hostility for over two years toward the Committee’s oversight of the Biden Border Crisis and the consequences of millions of illegal aliens entering the country, yet now, you are seeking travel at Committee expense to meet with foreign gang members.

Just so. Joe Biden’s enticing of ten million illegal immigrants into this country was the greatest violation of the rule of law in American history, and the Democrats have nothing to say about it, except to continue applauding lawbreakers.

Chairman Comer concludes:

You may be pleased to know that a Democrat Senator, Chris Van Hollen, was photographed just yesterday in El Salvador enjoying margaritas garnished with cherry slices with the foreign gang member your letter references. If you also wish to meet with him, you can spend your own money. But I will not approve a single dime of taxpayer funds for use on the excursion you have requested.

The wholesale price on the New York market for formula trading of Large cartoned shell eggs delivered to retailers held steady at $3.72 per dozen with a steady to weak undertone. In the major Midwest production region, wholesale prices for Large, white, shell eggs delivered to warehouses decreased $0.10 to $3.65 per dozen with a weak undertone while prices paid to producers for Large cartoned shell eggs declined $0.10 to $3.43 per dozen.

Of course, there’s always an exception, and of course, it’s always California, where regulations have driven the price of gasoline to $2 above the national average (and where the last two refineries in the state are being drive out). The Golden State has forbidden the import or sale of non-cage-free eggs, and the prices, paid by celebrities and the poor alike (lots of the latter — California leads the country in them, too) are still high enough to satisfy even Kathy Hochul.

The California benchmark for Large shell eggs declined $0.36 to $5.49 per dozen with a weak undertone. Delivered prices on the California-compliant wholesale loose egg market decreased $0.33 to $4.65 per dozen with a weak undertone.

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg falsely claimed on Wednesday that egg prices have not fallen by “one cent” since President Donald Trump took office, though they have dramatically fallen in recent weeks.

Egg prices have fallen 44% since the start of 2025 after prices had soared to record levels under former President Joe Biden’s administration, according to Trade Economics. Despite the significant fall in egg prices, Goldberg claimed that she has not seen these prices fall in any way, shape or form.

“[Trump] did promise to lower the price of groceries, I have not seen an egg fall one cent since this man got in,” Goldberg said, prompting co-host Sunny Hostin to falsely say they are going up.

The average cost of eggs amounted to $6.41 on Jan. 21, Trump’s first full day of his second term, according to Trade Economics. Prices decreased from an average of $8.27 on March 3 to $3.23 as of Wednesday.

Egg prices rose from $1.46 per dozen when Biden first entered office in January 2021 to $4.14 in December 2024, the final full month of his presidency, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data. Bird flu, one of the other main causes of the egg price hike, killed a record number of 20 million egg-laying hens in the last quarter, which caused a rapid spike in prices.

USDA data shows that 108 million egg-laying hens have died since 2022, including 13 million in 2025. It is not clear how many of the birds died naturally or from culling to prevent the spreading of the virus. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt blamed Biden and his Department of Agriculture for the “mass killing” of 100 million chickens for the rise in egg prices during a Jan. 28 briefing.
