Asked for comment, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki was a bit evasive: “Well, we’re pretty sure we’ve put that behind us”, she told FWIW, “and we don’t think we’ll be humiliated again, but I’m not sure. We’ve asked Hunter to inquire, and then I’ll circle backside and give you a definitive answer on what our new friends are demanding”.

Culture tsar proclaims that gender reveal parties are transphobic, and must stop right now!
Pop star Demi Lovato [okay, I’ve never heard of her either] shared a lengthy lecture on Instagram Wednesday calling gender reveal parties “transphobic.” Her post attacked the idea of celebrating baby boys and girls as a tradition that “naturalizes cultural myths as ‘biological facts.’”
“Gender reveals uphold the gender binary and the binary prevents people from observing reality,” said the post, which trans activist Alok originally authored. “Only individuals can determine their own gender.”
(To get the joke, you have to remember Psaki’s February 17 Q&A with the Little People:
“What is President Biden doing for my small business?” one Twitter user asked the press secretary.
“First and foremost,” Ms. Psaki answered, “he nominated a woman to lead the Small Business Administration.”)

105 Parsonage Road, $5.2 million. There’s no link because under the new GMLS rules all data is yanked from public view the instant a sale is reported. Whether that’s to protect the privacy of the new owner or just another attempt by my local real estate board to monopolize information, I don’t know; it could be both, but I sus[ect it’s the latter, because the GAR has a long history of hugging all information to its breast. Anyway, I’m posting a few exterior shots from the original listing. It’s not worth expending the space for interior photos because it’s really just your standard, cookie-cutter mid-level spec house, and if you’ve seen one of those, you’ve seen them all.
The land this house sits on was for sale forever, because its 1.2 acres comprise mostly swamp. This builder paid $1.330 for the lot in March 2017, and somehow with the help of what must have been a lot of fill, managed to get a house within the wetland boundaries, and put it up for sale in April 2019 for $6.250. So, four years after starting, he’s rid of it.
59 Mooreland Road, asking $9.250 million. This is a fabulous house, set high up and back from Mooreland, and just very special inside. The owners paid $9.495 million for it in 2004 and put in a lot more money over the years. They placed it on the market at $11.5 in September ‘16, a price that surely wouldn’t have recouped their costs, but it failed to sell nonetheless, and they pulled it a year later. They came back at $9.250 last summer, and have now found a buyer, praise COVID.
Oh, shut up
Lady Gaga’s dog walker shot 4 times in the chest, dogs stolen, so she posts a $500,000 reward.
“That’s nice”, thought I, “she must really care about the guy”. But no: the reward is for the return of the dogs, “no questions asked”. Capturing the perpetrator is the cops’ job.
Bitch.
Senator Kennedy doesn’t like it, either.
“This isn’t a coronavirus bill,” Kennedy told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” “This is a left of Lenin, neo-socialist wish list: I mean it just is. It is chock full of spending porn.”
“They have money for transit projects and bridges and language preservation, billions for people who are in our country illegally. I am all for spending additional monies to combat the coronavirus. But this bill isn’t it,” Kennedy continued, noting that President Joe Biden also wants to spend $3 trillion on “green infrastructure.”
