Harris’ new 4,000 square-foot property, which reports indicate she acquired for $8.15 million, is located in the exclusive seaside community of Point Dume and includes ocean views, multiple wine fridges, private golf greens and enough parking to accommodate five vehicles.

Faux Photo: WGN Airs Fake Pic of 49ers Coach in Hospital Bed Flanked by Mitch McConnell’s Wife

WGN viewers were doing a double-take on Thursday morning. The station was airing a report on San Francisco 49ers NFL football coach Kyle Shanahan, who is recovering from injuries sustained in a recent car crash. A pic used during the newscast featured Shanahan in street clothes on a hospital bed, flanked by Republican Senator Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao. The AI-generated pic was a meme based on a proof-of-life photo of McConnell, who was recently hospitalized. The fabricated photo first appeared online on Tuesday. Posters are now debating whether the inclusion of the pic was a mistake or an intentional joke.

I’m going with mistake, because making light of an accident that so seriously injured someone seems a bit harsh for a brand name broadcaster, but mistake or intentional, other stations across the country picked it up and ran with it as a legitimate story. Hee hee hee.

As one commenter posted on X, “He broke multiple ribs, had 40 stitches in his face, broken hand, severe concussion, why is this image oh him in perfect condition fooling them so badly?”

For that matter, what’s compassionate about tolerating inner-city schools that produce graduating classes with 96% illiteracy rates, thereby condemning their students to a lifetime of hopeless poverty? You’d almost suspect that there’s a group out there with a vested interest in creating and expanding a class of government dependants.

‘Restorative Justice’ Brings Violent Schools.

The Education Department will no longer count racial disparities in K-12 school suspension rates as proof of discrimination, it announced on July 23. This is a welcome change, but it won’t automatically restore order in the thousands of schools pressured by the Obama and Biden administrations into adopting “alternative discipline” methods whose chief objective is race equity. Many such programs have come at the cost of student safety and education.

These methods go by many names, like “restorative practices,” “social-emotional learning” and, most telling, “restorative justice.” In lieu of suspensions, administrators invite offenders to reflect in a soothing place on the feelings and trauma that led them, say, to hit another student or disobey a teacher. Students may also be invited into a “restorative circle” with school staff and other students, where they can share their feelings, and others in the circle can talk with them about how peace in the community might be restored.

Reality often falls short of this vision. Concerns about restorative justice emerged soon after the Obama administration began pushing it. Public schools in Philadelphia that implemented it experienced “skyrocketing truancy, serious misbehavior, and declining achievement,” Manhattan Institute researchers observed in 2017. Other cities experienced similar results.

And they still won’t, because those same outlets are busy ignoring or, if they can’t do that, whitewashing everything now coming out that proves our assertions were true.
