31 Bonwit Road, Riverside NoPo, has sold for $847,500.

It sold for $850,000 in 2008, after a quick-and-dirty sruce-up in 2004, got a coat of paint and  thorough dusting and sold for $885,000 in 2011 (after just three weeks on the market), then was genuinely improved, albeit modestly - I wished they'd built a fireplace, for instance, rather than make do with the brick barbeque in the back yard - by that owner, and returned to the market last May at $1.075.

So not a train wreck, but someone lost money here - don't tell Robert Shiller.
