You can't blame shiller for this one

7 Gaston Road, where the sky matches the prose

7 Gaston Road, where the sky matches the prose

7 Gaston Farm Road, a large piece of newish construction helicoptered into the woods of our northern New York border, has dropped its price from $6.390 million to $5.9, but I don't think that will do it. Besides the house looking, well, odd - squished together - the pretentious, purple prose used to describe it is worse than the architecture itself:

The Great Gaston Estate / Back Country Beauty Awaits you!Professionally designed stonework beginning in the driveway of the Gaston Estate, leading you to the front door will capture your attention, from the start.

"The Great Gaston"? Of come on, really? Look, if you must hire a Westchester realtor to list your home, at least make sure she's not allowed near a keyboard.

She does, however, omit any mention of the deer ticks and West Nile mosquitos that will be your neighbors up here, so give her that.
