By gosh, it turns out that there's a market for (at least one) New Orleans whore house after all

634 North Street, a spec house that has been the subject of a certain amount of derision here since it first hit the market in 2007 at $7.495 million (increased, hilariously, to $10.750 in 2020), was marked down by the bank that owns it to $4.999 last June and, lo, it’s now reported as pending.

Other than its easy access to transportation — the Merritt Parkway is in its backyard — there hasn’t been much to recommend this house over the past 15 years, but, finally, someone has stumbled upon its heretofore undiscovered charms and has agreed to buy it. For how much? We’ll have to wait for it to close before we know that, but I’ll start the betting pool at $3.5.

(Before it fades into well-deserved obscurity, how about one more screening of the video?)
