18 Shady Brook Lane, listed at $3.450 million, has “sold direct” to Park Slope buyers for $3.5 million. Not quite sure how that works; sometimes, the listing owners have a family friend or relative who’s previously expressed interest in the property and their names are excluded from the listing’s requirement that a commission be paid on any completed sale.
