Machete Attack in Port Chester Waterfront Place Parking Garage Results in Multiple Arrests

The Port Chester Police Department responded Tuesday evening to a physical altercation involving approximately 8 to 10 individuals on the MTA-owned commuter parking level of the Waterfront Place parking garage.
According to a release from Port Chester Police, several weapons were recovered including a machete – all suspects and recovered evidence were immediately turned over to the MTA Police Dept as they proceeded with their investigation.
Two individuals were transported to the Westchester County Medical Center to treat injuries. As of Wednesday morning 6 individuals had reportedly been charged and arrested by the MTA Police.
“There has been no confirmation that this incident was gang related. Preliminary information suggests the altercation may have been connected to an incident from earlier Tuesday, which remains under investigation,” Port Chester Police said.
