The Long March through our education system approaches its triumphant end
/College undergrads: America is racist, looting “justified”, reparations required.
(The headline might better read, “college undergraduates and their instructors”, and both groups’ approval of socialism vs free-market capitalism is even more disheartening, but that’s another post.)
America’s next generation of college students, markedly liberal and who support Joe Biden nearly 3-to-1 over President Trump, have strongly adopted the positions of the Black Lives Matter movement, according to a sweeping new survey conducted for Yale University’s William F. Buckley Program.
Embracing the view that America is racist, 51% of undergraduates 24 years old or younger said that the nation is “inextricably linked to white supremacy” and that most minorities are “excluded from the American promise of equality.”
Even more, 64% said that whites who do not speak out against racism are “perpetuating the injustices” minorities face. That was a common theme promoted by white protesters at the recent protests.
“By a 52% to 40% margin, students believe we should defund police departments because they are failing many communities.” Women more than men, 56%-47%, support defunding police departments.
And as the Black Lives Matter movement claims, that feeling is driven by concerns blacks are targeted by police.
As a result, looting during protests is justified. Said the analysis, “64% agree that due to systemic racism and the wrongful targeting of Black Americans by police officers, the recent rioting and looting is justified to some degree.”
On Monday, during a related protest, stores in Philadelphia were looted, and at least one police vehicle was burned after police killed a man armed with a knife. Some 30 officers were injured in the riots.
Pollster Jim McLaughlin noted the difference in the views of the students to the fact that they grew up under the nation’s first black president, Barack Obama.
“The students in a country that elected a bi-racial president not once, but twice and has produced multiple black billionaires believe that their country is racist,” he said.
McLaughlin said, “Nearly two-thirds, say the rioting and looting is justified. What are these kids learning? That’s scary.”
When Obama won in 2008 I consoled myself with the thought that maybe the election of black president would somehow work to heal the racial tensions in this country. That hope lasted less than a month past his inauguration, when AG Eric Holder gave his speech accusing (white) America of being a racist, nation of cowards. Things have proceeded downward from there, deliberately.
Not since the LBJ — Goldwater Daisy Ad
/The Creature from the Black Lagoon slithers out of the swamp
The disgraced group of neocon grifters calling themselves “The Lincoln Project” (presumably a play on the American Communists’ “Lincoln Brigade” of 1936) has released an ad directed at Florida’s Cuban population: tag line (with a properly-rolled “r”): “Trump is English for Castro”. With that, these people have managed the seemingky-impossible: they’ve set a new low for political advertising, twisting facts entirely on the head and defying logic in the best manner of Joeseph Goebels. Even Joe — Goebels, Stalin, or Biden — would be awed.
These architects of Iraq have never forgiven Trump for ousting them from their sinecure in the heart of the swamp and having been waging war against their former party since the 2016 election. And, like so many criminals, they’ve done well by doing bad, gathering in millions of dollars from billionaire Democrats and using the proceeds to overpay their own ad production and consulting companies, companies they personally own.
As early as July, word had leaked about the huge IRS liens filed against these patriots, their failed businesses, and even their sordid past acting as registered foreign lobbyists for the Russian company that worked its deal with the Clinton Foundation to purchase the U.S.’s largest source of uranium, up in Canada.
“It’s very clear that this isn’t about Trump and Republicans,” [said one GOP source]. “It’s about making money to help pay off their massive personal debts.”
Now comes word that these deluded fools think that they’re being invited to appear on liberal talk shows and funded by liberal fat cats because they’re liked for who they are, and their popularity will extend beyond the election and Trump’s probable loss. So they’ve announced the formation of a new media empire, featuring, naturally, themselves.
Exactly one-second after the polls close, these evil clowns will find themselves dumped into the dustbin of history. The Left doesn’t want them, because a useful idiot’s utility vanishes faster than a kulak when his master is through with him, and the Republican Party that they long for, the one where excellent, high-paying jobs were available even after electoral defeats, is gone. Oh, there will still be the usual lobbying positions and consulting gigs that have enriched politicians for so long, but not for these criminals. By singling out all Republican candidates for defeat this year, by desperately attempting to derail Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Court on the sole ground that Trump appointed her “and we hates Trumper, we hates ‘im!", the Lincoln Grifters have left themselves nowhere to return to.
Here’s their Castro ad. Upon refletion, it’s so blantantly false that perhaps they mean it to be a proof of concept ad for their new firm’s hoped-for Democrat clientel. Sorry to break it to you, fat boys, but the Dems already have their own fraudmasters, and don’t need your help.
Biden voters seem as lethargic and dispirited as the old man himself
/Biden gives a speech in Warm Springs, Georgia, 40 people show up. (A pundit points out that Joe went to Warm Springs, “where FDR went to die after deceiving the American people for many months about the seriousness of his condition”. Ah, symmetry, thy name is Biden.)
Monday, Trump made a drop-in visit to Levant, Maine, population, about zero. Word of what was supposed to be a small, private meeting with a few volunteers leaked to Facebook just four hours before his arrival, and 3,000 Trumpsters organized and showed up to cheer.

Newly sworn-in ACB immediately orders the nation’s women to wear Handmaiden outfits
But honestly, who didn’t see this coming? Haven’t we seen Trump, just as the Left said he would (and is still saying so today), drag queers off to prison, murder reporters, and fly the Nazi flag from the White House balcony? Oh, why won’t we listen? Why won’t we listen?!
Valley Road Price Cut
/218 Valley Road, Cos Cob, now down to $1.545 million. The previous owners completely renovated —I’d say rebuilt – this property in 2013 and sold it that year to this owner for $1.525. He tweaked it a bit and put it back up for sale in June 2019 at $1.750. That proved a bridge too far, but it seems attractive at this new/old price.
More for single adults, I think, or perhaps a couple with a newborn, but it’d be a lot more pleasant than a studio apartment in Brooklyn.

Breitbart claims that Google is interfering with the election by suppressing and burying conservative sites, and they are.
Breitbart tested the search monopoly a number of times, using the exact wording of Breitbart headline,
Maskless Nancy Pelosi Goes to San Francisco Hair Salon Despite Coronavirus Restrictions
I tried it myself. First I used my default search engine, DuckduckGo, and here’s what it produced, with Breitbart on top.
Then I tried the same search using Google. The results are shown below. No Breitbart mention, period. I scrolled through the first fifty results returned by Google, and nada. I’m guessing it never appeaars.
And according to Breitbart, theirs is not the only conservative site being suppressed by Google this election season.
Back in 2012 Google rejected a proposed consent agreement proffered by the FTC…
The FTC’s offer, which has not previously been reported, came in the form of a consent agreement that carried no admission of guilt for Google if it would agree to rein in some of its controversial search practices.
Those included Google’s scraping of content from third-party websites like Yelp to use on its own platforms without linking back to those sites, and restrictions the FTC claimed Google created to prevent advertisers from doing business with rival search engines, sources said.
The offer — led by then-FTC chairman Jon Leibowitz, a Democrat — was soundly rejected.
“Google resisted everything,” a source with knowledge of the events told The Post. “They said, ‘We don’t think you have the votes to sue.’ ”
By alienating Republican free marketers, Google may now be in line to reap its just deserts.
Are Harvard students stupid or hypocrites?
/Stoopid but proud
A poll of incoming Harvard freshmen showed 90.1% Biden voters, 7% for Trump. Are these privileged children really on board with the Progressive agenda? Racial quotas in hiring? Suppression of free speech? Equal grades for all, regardless of effort? Confiscatory income taxes? No iPhones? They either haven’t thought through the consequences of the coming Green Socialist Pogrom or, possibly, they have, and eagerly await it or, most likely, they’re all for it because they can’t believe they’ll be the ones discriminated against and punished. They don’t realize that they’re being sucked into a class war, one that divides by category, rather than merit. Their easy assumption that they’ll follow in their predecessors’ paths and land important jobs in Washington and corporate board rooms and academic institutions is misplaced: they’ll be classified by their level of approved victimhood; white males, even white females need not apply, and a black male will be less favored than a transgendered “female” black dwarf. And you Asian-Americans? Fuggedaboutit.
None of which particularly bothers me or will cause me to lose sleep, because I can’t think of a group of people more deserving of what they are about to receive. But it might, or should, bother them.
This author linked to thinks this blindness is due to a combination of hubris and ignorance, and perhaps it is:
When Democrats hate what they vote for
[After a Mask-Nazi at work exploded when she failed her health check-in and was sent home]
I was amazed at how my colleague responded to all of this. Given her fear of the virus and her outspoken way of handling mask breaches, it could have been safely assumed she would abide by the protocols. After all, it’s the science! Moreover, who wouldn’t like a paid day off? But no, this person felt wronged. She felt aggrieved. Her list of plaintive utterances was lengthy. “It’s only a headache... It’s allergies… I should have lied on the screener... What work can I do at home... I just want this all to end.” On that we can at least agree.
A second colleague of mine was awarded a personal grant of sorts for her work with an outside program. The award took the form of a sizable check. This person, who is neither necessarily poor nor well off, is accustomed to living off her paychecks and appears never to have noticed what all goes out of them. She just makes do with what ends up in her account. Upon receiving notification that her award had been deposited, she verified with her bank account and was instantly dismayed. Whereas the award was valued at $5,000, she had only received about $3,000.
Pop quiz: Where did her money go?
This employee was dumbfounded. It needs to be addressed she is a Bernie supporter, and a diehard one at that. This point makes the example not only salient but particularly satisfying. Her own useless protestations indiscriminately penetrated the air, seeking out anyone willing to listen: “Look how much they took out… that was my money... I worked hard for that grant.” She was genuinely confused and upset. She also has no intentions of changing her voting habits. That she supports Comrade Sanders is simply a level of delusion playing out across this country with frightening regularity.
These two incidents illustrate a perfect encapsulation of the Democrat mind: Other people should have to ____ but not me. Fill in the blank: Pay more taxes. Lose livelihoods because of media panic porn and government overreach. Be dishonest when expecting others to be honest. Do as I say and not as I do. Most importantly, it exemplifies how fools who vote Democrat in 2020 have no conceptual understanding of what voting Democrat actually means.
Objects at rest tend to stay at rest
/New to the market today, 25 Sheffield Way (off Round Hill), asking $4.595 million. It sold for $3.5 to these owners in 2015, and for $3,437,500 in 2002.
There’s been a new kitchen put in, and some other improvements, but are they enough to break this house free from the mid-three bracket? We’ll see.
Better value in older homes?
/I think so, because there’s less demand for them. Case in point, 141 Old Church Road, a 1938 house which just sold for its asking price (after three months) $1.950 million.
The sellers paid $1,526,500 for this property in 2000, performed some renovations and put it back up for sale in 2005 for $3.450 million, a ludicrous price that failed to produce the desired result.
But $1.950 for a nice house on a 1.25-acre lot, close to town seems like a good deal for all parties. It’s probably not what you’d describe as a family-friendly yard or even home, and that reduced its appeal, but not every buyer out there has three children to home school.
