I think it's safe to say that this poor woman is in desperate need of an intervention and involuntary commitment

This is not the first time Miss Lee and her friends have exhibited their loss of reason. From their website:

Nationwide locations — An emergency conference took place a few days ago, assembling some of the best minds in the country.  This is “the most important election of the era” and “the very fate of the U.S. and the world are at stake,” to quote a few.

It follows up on an historic event that took place at the National Press Club Grand Ballroom, on 19 March 2019: 13 leading experts from fields as diverse as psychiatry, law, history, political science, economics, journalism, propaganda studies, social psychology, climate science, and nuclear science came together in unprecedented ways to discuss the unfitness of a president.  The three-hour conference was broadcast in full on C-SPAN.

One-and-a-half years later, they reassemble on 24 October 2020, this time through Zoom because of the pandemic.  They review the harm that has been done and what we can do to prevent further harm in these dangerous times.  John Dean and Noam Chomsky join as special guest speakers for the occasion.

In the improbable event that you still need a reason to vote for Trump tomorrow, do it just for the sheer joy of watching this lady and her “nuclear scientists” explode into bits of bloody brain matter as the results come in.

Oak Street sale

28 oak.jpg

28 Oak Street, over on the west side behind Old Post Road No.2, has sold for $2.8 million. That’s a lot of money, but not as much as was asked in 2017, when it began at $4.249. This seems another example of how, while the COVID panic has expanded our market, it hasn’t yet raised prices to any great extent.

These sellers paid $2.9 for the house in 2003 when it was constructed as part of a mini-development, and put some significant money into improvements. Figuring in 17-years of use, it’s not as though they’ve made out terribly, but if Greenwich real estate was ever the “investment” it was touted to be by some of my peers, those days are long gone (if they ever existed at all).

Sale price reported, Lake Avenue

742 Lake.jpg

742 Lake Avenue, listed at $2.4 million August 25, closed at $1.825. You can see that it was a charming house, but with two, flat acres in this neighborhood (corner of Hope Farm Road and Lake) and its 1967 build, including window a/cs, I’d bet on it being replaced.

It was an estate sale of the former Grace-Cole Jones, who passed away this past April at the early age of 104, and who, according to this article in Greenwich Time in 2010, at 94 was still volunteering at the eponymous Grace-Cole Jones Gift Shop at Norwalk Hospital, 40 years after starting there. “You go to church, that’s theory”, she told her interviewer. “When you go to the hospital, you practice it”.

There are amazing people everywhere, of course, but it’s always wonderful to discover one right in our midst.

Kamallawalladingdong and her Democrat Party is out with a new advertisement setting forth their plans for our 1619 nation.

Speaking in a newly-found ghetto accent (Hillary probably coached her on adopting foreign accents), our presidential heir apparent first sets up a false argument by defining equality in material terms: “Equality says everybody should get the same amount” —”Equity is everybody ending up with the same amount”. The concept that every citizen (and illegal immigrant) should have exactly the same amount of material goods has never before been a part of the fabric or a goal of this nation, but that may be about to change.

But wait, there’s more: if, as the Democrat’s assert, the forced redistribution of wealth in equal amounts still isn’t “fair”, because people “start from different places” — then those who start at a disadvantage must be assigned a bigger piece of the loot than those who various People’s Committees deem to have started ahead of the game.

And what of those with lower IQs? Less ambition? Debilitating addictions? Will our guardians award them even larger slices than the merely “disadvantaged”? And, having seized all wealth and redistributed it in accordance with the Kamalla standard, who will monitor the population to make sure that the loot doesn’t slip out of the grasp of the least talented and back into the hands of the “luckier” ones?

The idea that we all belong to the state, andthat it is the state’s role to hand things out to us as it sees fit is even older than Marx, but it’s pernicious in our schools. Kampalla probably was first introduced to the concept in that integrated grade school she was bused to in Berkeley; unfortunately, her education, and her thinking, stopped there. Her evil philosophy lives on.

“I was very happy to have the moniker of being PA's third senator. I married a Philly girl, by the way. And I’ve got my Eagles jacket on."

He’s actually wearing another state’s college team’s logo. The poor guy doesn’t even know what his attendants are dressing him in.

It struck me that, for someone who still claims to be the rightful winner of the last election, Hillary ought to be considered to be quite a draw by the Biden campaign, but so far as I can tell, she’s being ignored.

Which is fine with me — I couldn’t stand hearing or seeing her last time, and her absence now is perfectly acceptable, but

Climate Depot has assembled a marvelous timeline of doomsday predictions dating back to 1864, all of which were issued with grave solemnity by “experts” like Prince Charles (8 years from 2009), Gordon Brown (50 days) NASA’s Hansen (5 years, starting in 2009) and many, many more. I keep asking: if global warming is real, why do so many people keep lying about it?
