Illegal crossings along the busiest section of the US-Canadian border — which encompasses parts of New York, Vermont and New Hampshire — have plummeted thanks to President Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Just 54 migrants were apprehended in the Swanton sector, which stretches almost 300 miles, in March. It is a drastic 95% drop from the 1,109 border crossers caught in March 2024, according to US Customs and Border Protection.

This area recorded more than 80% of all apprehensions along the northern border during the 2024 fiscal year, according to CBP figures.

Stark before-and-after photos posted by Swanton sector Border Patrol chief Robert Garcia on X on Monday show lines of migrants carrying backpacks traversing the woods a year ago, versus a lone deer grazing in the same spot now.

Under the Biden administration, illegal crossings at the northern border hit record highs as migrants were being released into the US en masse.

In the Swanton sector, more than 1,400 border crossers were caught in April 2024 — eclipsing the totals from fiscal years 2021 and 2022 combined, according to CBP figures.

When Trump returned to the White House, he ended the previous administration’s use of the problematic “catch and release” border policy and commenced a mass deportation effort.

Northern border residents told The Post that they’ve noticed the change as migrant crossings on their properties, which were very common under Biden, have come to a screeching halt.

“We haven’t seen anyone since November. It’s been nice not having to scan the yards night and morning,” said Daniel Cowan, who lives along the border in rural Chateaugay, New York, a town of 1,900 residents.

Democrat Judge Blocks NYC Mayor From Cooperating With ICE

Democrat Judge Mary Rosado of the New York Supreme Court has determined that New York City Mayor Eric Adams can't cooperate with United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by allowing the government agency to operate at Rikers Island, at least not for now. 

…. [A]t the request of the city council, Judge Rosado issued a temporary restraining order against the Adams administration, writing, "City Hall and all other New York City government officials, officers, personnel and agencies are prohibited from taking any steps towards negotiating, signing or implementing any memoranda of understanding with the federal government regarding federal law enforcement presence on Department of Correction property." 

The order will stay in place until a hearing scheduled for Friday, after which she may extend, modify or vacate it.

Finally, when the pretense could no longer be sustained, they admitted the sole reason they were voting for him, swaddled in Depends or not: “he’s not Trump”.

That’s all the media needed to say from the beginning, so its efforts to prop up the AntiTrump were a foolish waste of energy; except, of course, that it was all a circle jerk, designed and maintained to impress their fellow “professionals” that they were real journalists, reporting actual news, and not just serving as trained monkeys for their betters.

An Indian citizen who is one of the most wanted fugitives in his home country for his alleged connections with terrorist activities, including planning more than a dozen grenade attacks on police officials, has been arrested by immigration officials for being in the United States illegally. 

Harpreet Singh was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents last week, Fox News has learned. 

Singh entered the U.S. illegally on Jan. 27, 2022, in Arizona. He was arrested by a U.S. Border Patrol agent from Tucson’s sector, placed in removal proceedings, and then released into the interior of the country.  

He was arrested by ICE on April 16 in Sacramento, Calif., and will remain in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings.

U.S. Rep. Jim Himes says Medicaid cuts could force closure of Greenwich's Nathaniel Witherell

“GREENWICH — A Republican proposal on Capitol Hill could spell financial ruin for the Nathaniel Witherell, Greenwich's town-run skilled nursing facility, as well as creating other problems in the healthcare system, according to U.S. Rep. Jim Himes.

"I think well more than half of their revenue comes from Medicaid," Himes said on Tuesday. "At a time when the Republicans in the House are saying, 'We're going to cut $880 billion over 10 years, so about $88 billion a year, from Medicaid.' That could end up closing, if it goes through that way, closing Nathaniel Witherell."

What proposal is Himes using to terrify old people and their children? This:

The resolution directs the House Committee On Energy and Commerce, which oversees Medicare and Medicaid, to cut $880 billion from its section of the budget over 10 years, which totals $25 trillion. The biggest chunk of that 10-year budget is Medicare, followed by Medicaid, so cutting $880 billion will include cutting Medicaid in some fashion, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Peter Kelly, chair of the board of the Nathaniel Witherell, said cutting Medicaid has been a topic of discussion for about 20 years now and doing so would be a problem for most healthcare facilities.

"It's certainly something that I'm concerned about, the board's concerned about," he said. "I don't think it's something that any health care provider  —  whether it's acute care or long-term care as is the case of Witherell  —  any cuts to Medicaid can be, depending on the size of them, can be devastating."

Himes, bless his heart, has long been a supporter of Medicaid reform. Here he is, all the way back in 2011, calling for the government to get ready to take action, by golly:

[W]e must be "prepared to equitably reform these programs to address the challenging problem of rising health care costs and ensure that these important safety net programs are here to help this generation and the next.

Jimbo’s been “prepared” for 16 years now, and he doubtless still is; just don’t threaten to cut a single penny of that $25 trillion, or he and his partners in crime will hit the airwaves and small town hustings decrying the heartlessness and cruelty of it all.

Wait, Was Joe Biden Photoshopped in His Family Easter Photo?

Who knows if this is true, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it turned out that Joe Biden’s Easter photo was fake. The former president took a picture with his family, and many are wondering one thing: was this photoshopped? I mean, it’s odd looking. First, I doubt that Joe, given his age, is kneeling or squatting like that to get into the photo.

Maybe:

The proportion of Joe in relation to the rest of his family, and the shape of his hand holding the back of a family member’s neck certainly look off. Has anyone tried playing recent speeches of Biden backwards to check for subliminal messages about his condition?
