Yesterday a crowd — if 9 makes a crowd — of white people and three Democrat politicians showed up at Town Hall to protest the deportation of their scullery maids and landscapers (and child rapists, murderers and assorted other felons) and lo, look how Goofy’s dressed.

CONTEXT: Just last week Meskers was boasting of his role in forcing utilities to buy surplus, unnecessary energy they don’t need from homeowners’ rooftop solar installations, the cost of which will be passed on to and paid by all residents. California tried this and it failed: the utilities were paying 25¢ per Kwh for energy available wholesale for 5¢. Worse, if homeowners din’t need it, neither did the utilities: the need is for energy at night, when the sun isn’t shining, not at 2:00 PM on a sunny California day. Meskers is either too stupid to understand this or he’s a duplicitous hack whose only interest is in preserving his legislator license plate and free health care. Of course, there’s no reason those two explanations have to be exclusive.

Now is the time for all good Greenwich Democrats to unhook from the grid, give away their gas stoves, and use their windmills and solar panels to power with zero-carbon energy

Hartford’s housing mandates, infrastructure bans overwhelm utilities

First Selectman Camillo announced an urgent press conference scheduled Friday, July 24, at 1pm at Town Hall, calling for an immediate moratorium on zoning mandates from Hartford.  CNG, Aquarion and Eversource have informed him that they are running out of capacity to serve new high density affordable housing as well as local homeowner renovations and new school buildings.  Info here.

A press conference will be held outside Greenwich Town Hall on Friday, July 24, at 1 p.m.

This comes after First Selectman Camillo recently discovered that Connecticut Natural Gas does not have the infrastructure to meet the demands of new and expanded housing in Greenwich. Similar issues have also come to light in subsequent conversations he had with Aquarion Water Company.

This lack of capacity for Connecticut’s utilities makes clear the strain that Greenwich and other communities are facing due to the mandates from Hartford that circumvent the approval and input from local zoning authorities.

First Selectman Camillo is also working on finalizing details of a public forum with CNG, Aquarion and Eversource in September at Greenwich Town Hall.

This is an issue that affects all Connecticut municipalities and Greenwich was just the first to discover the problem.

“The burdensome housing mandates that have been placed throughout the State of Connecticut have now taxed our infrastructure to the point that we can no longer keep up,” First Selectman Camillo said. “We understand the need for housing in Connecticut but when it is done through mandates and demands from Hartford and not with the careful consideration of local zoning authorities, utility companies and local municipal public works and sewer departments, you create problems like this. A moratorium on zoning mandates throughout the State of Connecticut is immediately needed so work can be done to improve infrastructure and better meet the demand in the State.”

Greenwich Greens are just part of the massive coalition of Democrats and even some RINOs that has blocked construction of new natural gas pipelines and electricity transmission corridors and denied utilities the money necessary to build out their infrastructure, all while mandating the construction of massive apartment buildings, presumably to be powered by windmill and solar farms (if the builders of same can get around the state’s ever-increasing regulations restricting the use of farmland).

The only fair solution that I can see is for the Global Warmists to immediately cease their consumption of fossil fuels, disconnect from the grid, and generate their own electricity, thereby freeing up the existing utilities capacity for use by the deserving poor.

Apparently grown tired of driving 90 minutes to Whole Foods, they put it back on the market this year at $3.425, dropped it to $3.250, and have finally found a buyer.

22 Mallard Drive, listed at $2.350 million, sold to buyers from West Orange, NJ for $2.850 million. It’s perfectly understandable that someone living next door to Newark and under the rule of Democrats who make our own crooks look almost benevolent would pay a premium to escape.

Not sure whether I’d choose escape to exactly here, but I suppose if the children are nimble and old enough to be trusted to play in traffic, they’ll have a better chance of survival on Mallard than on West Orange’s Interstate 280 (barely).

AP: Trans Aid Workers in Nepal Turn to Sex Work After USAID Cuts Cost Them Their Jobs

We've been hearing a resurgence in stories about the global body count ever since Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire. Musk oversaw DOGE, which recommended dismantling the Democratic slush fund known as USAID. Since then, we've heard stories about women dying in Africa because their government apparently couldn't afford diesel fuel for the ambulance without relying on the U.S. taxpayer. Musk even threatened to sue Rep. Ro Khanna, who cited a bogus Lancet study to claim that Musk was responsible for the deaths of 4.5 million children.

The Associated Press reports that, thanks to USAID being dismantled, around 100 LGBTQ+ aid workers in impoverished Nepal have few job options other than turning to prostitution. Grab a tissue before hitting play on this video, in which a former aid worker says that USAID used to pay for condoms and lubricant.

Where are the European pocketbooks, and why aren’t they opening? China? Russia? Buehler?

And by the way, Honeybuns, lubes and rubbers were never “free”, they were just paid for by U.S. taxpayers — free to you is not free to me.

It was bad enough when the media monkeys here in the US and Britain switched their weather maps from the neutral blues and greens they’d used for decades to screaming red and orange to signify “DANGER!” during heat waves; now, it seems, any temperature: high; low; or normal, is a cause for alarm because, you know, global warming is killing us, and the stupid public must be reminded of that “fact”, every day. Here’s today’s local temperature map courtesy of the AP and Greenwich Time, showing a high of 81° in Greenwich. According to my IPhone’s weather app, the average high in Greenwich on July 24th is 82°.

Oh, the horror!

The actual forecast that’s supposedly illustrated by the AP’s schematic? Turns out, we’ll probably survive, at least for today:

A sunny, dry Friday on tap in Connecticut.

After a comfortably cool start, temperatures will climb to around 80 degrees in most towns across Connecticut. With dry air and a light breeze in place, it should feel pleasant even during the warmest part of the afternoon.

Friday night brings another round of comfortable sleeping weather. Skies remain mainly clear, with temperatures dropping into the 50s across most of the state. Some of the normally cooler inland valleys may briefly fall into the lower 50s by early Saturday morning.

High pressure remains in control for the weekend, keeping Connecticut dry and seasonably warm. Saturday looks mostly sunny, with highs reaching the lower to middle 80s inland and upper 70s to around 80 along the shoreline. Humidity stays low, making it a great day for beach trips, cookouts, hiking or anything else outside.

Climate alarmists have been wrong on every single major prediction for more than 60 years, which you would think would have exploded the nonsense long ago.
