Should we pay reparations, or will it suffice to just move the sun?

Alice Ristroph — it takes a white scholar to discover subtle acts of racism in the universe

Atlantic Magazine presents as "science" a professor's lament that today's eclipse will be visible by too  many whites and too few blacks.

The Atlantic’s longwinded law professor assures readers that “implicit bias of the solar system” is “presumably” not the cause of eclipse’s failure to affect enough black people.
“Still, an eclipse chaser is always tempted to believe that the skies are relaying a message.”

I think we can ease any concerns of black people that the universe is biased against them by pointing out that most of its afflictions are handed out to all races: sheer, outright stupidity, for instance, is as prevalent among whites as it is in the black race. Miss Ristroph, just taking one example, is not only a graduate of Harvard and Harvard Law School, she's teaching there this fall, thus ensuring that her metal deficiencies will be passed on to the next generation of privileged white kids.
