Better to cut your losses and run
/5 Corrigan Lane (off Riversville off Cliffdale) has sold for $1.050 million. That’s a good price for a nice house, and the buyer did well, in my opinion, but the seller, not so much.
He first placed the house on the market in 2015 at $1.475, and when it still hadn’t sold by November 2016 despite dropping it to $1.195 he pulled it, did some expensive renovations, and put it back up for sale in June 2017 at $1.590. Now, 30 months later, he’s finally rid of the house he hasn’t wanted since 2015.
The existing house was okay at some price — not $1.475, obviously — and I’d guess it would have moved at somewhere between $750 —$850,000. The owner should have tried that route before pouring good money after bad.
