He can no longer, for now, exercise power to achieve the great things he did while in office, such as freeing up energy production, reigning in (some of) the administrative state, and putting scores of conservative judges on the federal bench, all accomplishments that allowed many of his supporters to look past his ugly personality flaws and accept him for the champion that he was. Now, we’re left with just the personality to watch, and it’s over.
