/“ESG and the Green New Deal will sea Biden’s fate in 2024”
There is now genuine pushback against Joe Biden’s ESG policies as well as his administration’s misguided “Green New Deal” energy policies to the point that the president’s re-election prospects are in serious doubt. The incoherence of the former and the expense of the latter has gotten most Americans angry at Biden and left them with the feeling that the situation we’re in didn’t have to happen.
….
The radical left is losing power. Even AOC got booed recently at a town hall. And as Biden’s hard-eyed radical base of support falters, he really has no other power source to fall back on.
By mid-summer, the Democratic race for president may look entirely different.
It’s tempting to look at the looming disaster that’s being brought about by the current regime and the extra-constitutional administrative state and conclude that the citizenry will, must rise up, but unlike the optimistic columnist quoted above, I don’t see that happening.
I make it a point never to engage in political “discussions” with most people I encounter each day, but I do listen to their off-hand comments, and read (some) of their screeds, and I’ve concluded that they'll vote for any Democrat: a senile old man; a witless moron like Kammpallawlla Ding Dong; even a communist like AOC, just so long as he/she/it is listed on the Democrat ballot line.
If the average voter were capable of discerning cause and effect, he wouldn’t vote to return Democratic mayors, congressmen, and senators to office, but he does. That same voter, who tells pollsters that he wasn’t willing to pay more than $40 per year to “stop” global warming, would rebel against the thousands of dollars he’s already spending on higher heating and electric bills, increased cost of everything, due to higher transportation expenses, and, at the very least, see what’s coming; he doesn’t: The destruction of the rule of law and the weaponization of our justice services? What? Really? Well, so long as our TV talent contests are on the up and up, does the rest of that matter?
