Is it something I said?

“somewhere out there, someone is blaspheming!”

I received the following notification of a new subscriber to this blog just now: the GAR has signed up for an automatic feed of my wit and wisdom. Now, it’s possible that, after 22 years of my blogging, the organization has finally and suddenly discovered an urgent desire not to miss a single pearl of wisdom published here, but it’s also possible that one of my fellow realtors of a different political persuasion has filed a complaint about its content.

This could be the start of something entertaining

We’ll see what the GAR’s intent is, but some years ago, after I’d posted a story of the newly-enacted National Association of Realtors’ rule that claimed the authority to govern everything posted by members on social media, real estate-related or not, including and especially political opinions, I received an unsolicited email from a lawyer at the Northwest Legal Foundation, saying that they were looking for a test case against the NAR’s rule, and would be happy to represent me if any action were ever taken against me. That offer’s probably still valid, or, heck, I’m not all that busy these days, and can just resume my legal practice, with a client of one.

So stay tuned: there could be some interesting blog fodder coming to these pages in the near future.
