Not how I'd choose to spend my Saturday mornings, but ... whatever
/1,600 - 1,700 residents drive (okay, it’s probably Manuel or Consuela behind the wheel), their rotted vegetables, discarded designer dresses, books, assorted broken toys and unwanted children to the dump every Saturday and leave cloaked in the warm glow of satisfaction knowing that they’ve just saved the world and stopped global warming. I don’t see any battery cars in the pictures accompanying the linked-to article, just CO2-spewing conventional vehicles, so there’s bound to be a substantial net reduction from that noble effort, but even virtue has its price.
