6 Dorchester Lane, Riverside, new construction (land with now-razed house purchased for $1.775 million October 2024º has dropped its price from $5.9 million to $5.750. Personally, if I had $6 million to spend on a house, I wouldn’t spend it on Dorchester. Then again, I’m pretty sure there’s nothing in Greenwich’s six million range that I would want to buy.
I’d prefer something more like this one:
Greta Thunberg has been blasted as an embarrassment after she tried to highlight the “suffering” of Palestinian prisoners in a social media post — but used a harrowing photo of an emaciated Israeli hostage who was forced to dig his own grave.
The showboating climate activist had included a skeletal image of the hostage, Evyatar David, in an Instagram post on Monday about the alleged mistreatment of Palestinians in Israeli prisons.
The photo, however, had actually come from a sick propaganda video Hamas put out in August that shockingly showed a 24-year-old David digging his own grave in captivity.
:Oooh, did I do that? My bad!”
Mr. David or his corpse is still held by Hamas
“Enjoy!”
It is wild that Zohran Mamdani admitted to watching women being raped in Egypt and not intervening on grounds of cultural relativism

New York City mayoral contender Zohran Mamdani has depicted himself throughout his career as a staunch advocate of women’s rights.
But a 77 WABC review of Mamdani’s writings has revealed that when he could have personally intervened as a private citizen and a man to stop a series of brutal rapes and sexual assaults, he declined to do so because of “woke,” political correctness concerns.
Mamdani, who is now 33, was a student in Cairo in 2013, when protests broke out against Egypt’s then-Islamist Muslim Brotherhood regime.
Large numbers of women were involved in the protest, and according to Human Rights Watch, up to 91 women were raped or sexually assaulted in just four days.
The wave of attacks was documented at the time by major news media, including PBS Newshour and Euronews.
In a piece for his college newspaper about his time studying in Cairo, Mamdani wrote that at those protests, women “had to contend with the very real threat of sexual harassment and assault, especially at night.”
He namechecked two groups of civilian volunteers engaged in blocking, stopping, and reporting rapes, and said he “thought of volunteering.”
However, Mamdani declined to intervene to stop rapes and sexual assaults not because of concerns about his own personal safety, or legalities, but rather because he concluded that “that the last thing Egyptians needed was a well-meaning foreigner’s assistance.”
In case you've forgotten, here's what happened to CBS's Lara Logan when she was on assignment in Egypt (warning: may be disturbing to viewers):
We've seen this same mentality in the UK, where the number of rapes has risen exponentially, and grooming gangs have been harming British girls for years. Authorities often give the perpetrators light sentences because of their culture and religious beliefs and belittle the victims for being racist.
More on those “cultural differences”:
Journalist Lara Logan was attacked by hundreds of men in Cairo, Egypt, during a protest, resulting in her clothes being torn off in the middle of the street.

David Strom:
Porter has never been a pleasant person, nor a high achiever, except in the sense of building a resume. Coming from a class that equates credentials with achievement, her Phillips Academy to Yale to Harvard to Law Clerk to Academia to Congress path looks very impressive to them. And, perhaps at a time when we had an elite with a sense of public obligation, it might earn her a second glance.
But a second glance at Katie Porter reveals how far our "elite" have fallen--from noblesse oblige to elite sociopathy.
Porter is of the "Do you KNOW WHO I AM?!" school of modern elites.
As Gavin Newsom prepares to lose the next presidential election (please, God, make it so!), Porter is running to replace him and is currently in the lead. She is making this run after a failed attempt to beat Adam Schiff for the Dianne Feinstein memorial Senate Seat.
Can you imagine two more disgusting, entitled people to replace Feinstein?
After her graceless loss to Schiff, she, of course, complained of election rigging, because no Phillips Academy to Yale to Harvard to Law Clerk to Academia to Congress credential climber could possibly lose without being cheated.
So now, she feels entitled to the governor's seat, and no snotty little reporter should ask her what should be, to any seasoned politician, the easiest question in the world. It never occurred to Katie Porter that she would have to appeal to VOTERS, particularly those dirty Trump supporters!
HOW DARE THAT PLEB ASK ME ABOUT THAT?!
Porter is apparently always like this. She famously physically abused her ex-husband, and among other things, dumped steaming hot mashed potatoes on his head. Her staff reportedly hate her, and with good reason.
But what is striking to me about this and other Katie Porter stories is not that she is a biatch, but rather that everybody around her tolerates it. She is in the California Nomenklatura, and the rules of ordinary society do not apply. People of her class look at her resume and are impressed, and people of a "lower" class live in feudal California, so they have to take it.
It's a political culture that gives us slimeballs like Adam Schiff and Gavin Newsom, degenerates like Scott Weiner, and incompetents like Kamala Harris and Katie Porter. California, ruled by politicians who blather on about "equity" and caring for the less fortunate, is almost feudal in its levels of inequality and class distinctions.
One of the wealthiest places on earth, it has poverty rates that are breathtaking, the highest homeless population in the country, and a ruling class that is as degenerate as those in the Hunger Games.
That's how you get Katie Porters in power.
Someone who used to work with Katie Porter sent me this clip from a train-wreck interview with her and said, “Now imagine what she’s like when there aren’t cameras around.” pic.twitter.com/OCF73BrUg1

Vyacheslav Leontyev, the former publisher of the Soviet-era newspaper Pravda, fell to his death from his Moscow apartment Saturday evening in what Russian officials claim may have been a suicide.
Leontyev plunged to his death at age 87, according to the Daily Mail. Officials say Leontyev fell from a fifth-floor window, a drop of roughly 70 feet. Russian investigators say he suffered a nervous breakdown but provided no further details. He reportedly was found dead at the scene. Unconfirmed reports suggest he had been suffering from health problems in the weeks leading up to his death.

Exiled Russian journalist Andrey Malgin cast suspicion on the official narrative.
“The window falls continue,” the Daily Mail quoted Malgin as saying. …
“He knew a lot about the ‘Party’s money’ — the Pravda publishing house was the most profitable enterprise in the business empire of the CPSU [Communist Party of the Soviet Union] Central Committee,” Malgin added.
Leontyev’s fall fits a broader pattern of deaths involving prominent Russians who either criticized the regime or held ties to major state-run companies in the years surrounding the Ukraine invasion. In September, authorities found the body of former St. Petersburg transport chief Alexander Fedotov outside a luxury Moscow hotel. He had been staying on a high floor during a business trip. Police launched a criminal investigation but found no suicide note.
Fedotov had links to Transport Minister Roman Starovoit, who died under strange circumstances in July just hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin fired him. Though officially ruled a suicide, some reports claim Starovoit was tortured and murdered.
For those who may be unfamiliar with the sad fate of so many of Putin’s critics, here’s a short summary:
AI Overview
Numerous critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin have died under suspicious circumstances, including several who have reportedly fallen from windows or balconies
. However, no definitive number can be confirmed, as Russian authorities typically classify these cases as suicides or accidents, and no independent investigations have been conducted.
Examples of prominent deaths linked to defenestration
Vyacheslav Leontyev: In October 2025, the former head of the Soviet-era publishing house Pravda was found dead after falling from his fifth-floor Moscow apartment window. Russian state media reported he committed suicide after a "nervous breakdown".
Andrei Badalov: In July 2025, the vice president of state pipeline company Transneft died after falling from a window in Moscow. Authorities quickly deemed the death a suicide, but others suggested foul play related to Western sanctions on the oil sector.
Vadim Stroykin: In February 2025, the musician and Putin critic reportedly fell from a 10th-floor window during a raid by Russian security forces related to his alleged donation to Ukraine's military.
Mikhail Rogachev: In October 2024, the former vice-president of Yukos, an oil company, was found dead after falling from a Moscow window. Relatives denied the state-media claim of suicide, stating that Rogachev was in a good mood the night before.
Pavel Antov: In December 2022, the wealthy lawmaker and sausage tycoon died after a fall from a hotel window in India. The incident occurred days after his traveling companion also died at the same hotel. Months earlier, Antov had posted a message on WhatsApp describing a Russian attack on Ukraine as "terror".
Ravil Maganov: In September 2022, the chairman of Russia's Lukoil oil company died after falling from a sixth-floor window of a Moscow hospital. He was reportedly being treated for depression, and his death came after Lukoil publicly spoke out against the war in Ukraine.
Key challenges to confirmation
Official silence and cover-ups: Russian authorities often label these deaths as suicides or accidents, and critical information, like CCTV footage, is frequently missing.
Alternative explanations: Some commentators suggest that while some deaths may be politically motivated assassinations, others might be connected to business rivalries, unpaid debts, or are genuine suicides. Russia's high suicide rate is sometimes used to downplay the suspicious nature of these deaths.
"Message sending" assassinations: Analysts note that public, violent assassinations like some window falls could be intended as a warning to others considering defying the Kremlin.
The current owners of 27 Mary Lane, Riverside NoPo, paid $1.950 million for it in June 2024 after it has been on the market for just 10 days (which, assuming time lag between accepted offer and execution of contracts, would be just about overnight). They’ve now put it back up for sale at $2.099 million.
A super PAC closely aligned with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is reportedly urging Democrats to hold firm in the government shutdown fight, arguing that the party is winning the political messaging battle, according to a memo obtained by Axios.
The memo from Senate Majority PAC (SMP), one of the top groups backing Senate Democrats, warned that it would be a “mistake to take the pressure off Republicans,” according to Axios, and that Democrats’ stance on protecting affordable health care is winning with voters. The report comes as the government enters its seventh day of a shutdown, already the fourth longest in the country’s history, with government programs and federal employees feeling the impact as benefits and pay lapse.
The internal guidance framed the shutdown as a political opportunity to define the 2026 midterms around health care costs and inflation, issues Democrats believe favor them, according to Axios. “Don’t flinch,” the memo instructed Democrats.
Polling commissioned by SMP reportedly found that 52% of likely 2026 voters blame President Trump and congressional Republicans for the shutdown, while 40% blame Democrats, according to Axios. 62% of respondents said preventing major health insurance premium hikes is more important than ending the shutdown quickly.
Other polling also found that a hefty 78% of Americans support extending the ACA’s enhanced tax credits, comprised of 92% of Democrats and 59% of Republicans
At least half the country gets its news exclusively from the Democrats’ media wing — while those of us on the right can’t escape exposure to the other side’s arguments just because they’re so ubiquitous — a huge segment of voters lives in a closed world of information selected and shaped by Democrats — try discussing world events or politics with these people and see how many facts and events they’ve never even heard of, or think they know (It’s a matter of rock-solid belief among them that Trump called Nazis and White Power goons “fine people”, and no, thank you, they don’t want to see the actual unedited video).
And the second, perhaps strongest point in the Democrat strategists’ optimistic prediction of success is that everyone loves a free lunch; free for them, and who cares if it’s actually paid for by inflation and pass-through to a future generation? “I got mine, Bud” has always been a sure crowd pleaser.
To quote from that Washington Post editorial I posted about Monday …
This is how entitlement programs work. Once you habituate people to some generous government handout, they grow dependent on it. And it becomes politically perilous, if not impossible, to fully claw it back. Conservatives fought so hard to stop Obamacare 15 years ago because they anticipated fights like this one.
